'Fellaini is a handful. He is a big, tall, gangly lad and they just lumped the ball forward to him. That's all they did.'
'We were the better football team, they had eight shots on target and De Gea did very well for us in that way.'
Childish, disrespectful and stupid. Ferguson later goes on to say had united taken their chances, they would have won the game. What if Everton had taken theirs? Who is he trying to convince that Everton didn't play well and that united should have won? Do united fans actually go along with these comments?
One other thing is the easy united fan response 'we only played with two recognised defenders,' and 'Goodison away with a weak first team is tough.'
Fair enough Everton can give anyone a game on their day, but that was not an under strength united team. Valencia didn't have to play RB, that was Fergie's attempt to win a match. Swap Carrick for Cleverley and then Cleverley for Rio/Evans and that is basically the 11 you'd prefer. (RVP was available for selection but the manager deemed it wise to sub him).

City are favourites regardless who United sign, you're champions so you'll always be backed to retain the league. If Anderson stays fit and partners Carrick we'll be fine. Anderson can drive the ball forward and Carrick can break up play, it's the perfect partnership really. We've got a big squad now, strengthened attack and added depth to our weak area in LB. Powell could also shine for us, there's so much time for everyone to settle and gel starting with Fulham on Saturday. Shouldn't you be worried you have no cover for Kompany who's prone to injury?

We will have another CB before the windows shut
That's the only area that's needed to strengthen for us

I look forward to finding out who that will be.

OK Kompany had some injuries early in his career, but how many matches has he missed for City through injury?! You shouldn't rely on FM for your football knowledge so much x

I'm not saying he's injury prone of the Hargreaves ilk, but how many times did he get injured in pre season? And didn't he pick up an injury last season too? By the by, I've never played FM.

"lets bookmark this and see what happens to City at Everton."
I'll save you the bother. We'll lose. It's bound to happen, they are our bogey side and regardless of who either side has or what form we're in, Everton will beat us. In fact, DO bookmark this, so I can look like a modern day footballing Nostradamus!
What is odd, though, is that Everton are classically poor starters, so you getting them at Goodison as a first game should've been a nailed on victory for you, and yet it wasn't.
