Looks like Megson is starting to become as worried for want of a better term as some of us about the lack of movement in to the club.

Are the certain few going to pop down to S6 and tell Megson to calm down and stop getting excited about the lack of signings as there is 3 weeks to go before the start of the season? Also if I read it correctly he starts banging that Charlton drum and calls them our rivals, can you believe that!!!!! Does he know anything, if he did he’d know not to do that or he’d get shouted down instantly on that one. Jee wiz!
Over to the discussion……..go.
All justified

Yeah your right chupa, because you say so.
Anybody that thinks that Craig Rocastle was a "decent player" is clearly lacking. If he was a "decent player" then i'm sure he wouldn't have left us to later play in the Greek second division, the Conference South and the illustrious Southern League.
JOC on the otherhand has made over 500 career appearances and is a good, solid, reliable squad player who is blamed for everything that goes wrong at S6.
He's staying, get over it.

I'm with you on this consilio.
He's not Zidane, but give the guy a break. At least he puts a shift in, which is what's needed in this league. Hope he doesn't play much next season, but he'll be decent backup

I was with you right up to "good, solid, reliable squad player".....

If JOC plays anything like regularly then we will be nowhere near promotion.
He is not good, he is not solid and he is only reliable in that he will give the ball away, miss tackles, lose his man and only contribute in a negative way. That reliability we can do without.

He will play plenty of games next season and will be blamed for everything. We probably wont go up because the squad isnt good enough, not JOC.

Fair point but maybe the players are rubbing off on him though.
Seriously though, yes it wasnt just JOC but at the end of the day we had such an unbalenced midfield, and defence, the likes of JOC et al left holes in defence bigger than the sahara desert and esp during the second half of last season we leaked goals for fun after buying 3 too many defenders that didnt know each other, Purse went despite his errors he and Beevers had apretty good record together 1st half of last season. Once Meggy came in the damage was done and all we could do was steady ourselves, stay up and sort out the personnel during the summer, which he has very well depite making, in my veiw a big mistake in signing JOC for another year! Im not blaming it all soley on JOC but you have to admit he was one of the biggest culprits
