I know to some it may seem like the logical thing to do but I hope the defence remains as it is and only Sagna should come in for Jenkinson who despite being full of spirit and comitment is still very raw.
Mertesacker appears to compliment Vermalean better and until he makes obvious errors lets give him a run, Kolcienley will surely be an Arsenal legend as I also believe he is the best central defender at the club but we need to foster a spirit of competition within the ranks thus Chesney should sit on the bench until Don Vito starts to make errors.
Chesney is a great character and a committed goalkeeper but he does make some errors that are due to poor concentration levels than technique and some competition from Vito will prepare him better for the future.
Lastly isnt it funny how some people are so quick to take credit away from Arsene and complimenting Steve Bould.I know Arsene has made some terrible errors in the past but you just have to watch the invincibles to realize how unique this guy is.
By the way Arteta, what a player.Glad he is vice captain.
Hope Arsene doesnt drop Vito & Per

Mannone has done well last two games but Szczesny is a class apart and has to play imo.

mannone has managed well behind a well organised defense, he was flakey at some points yesterday as is expected for a 3rd choice. but without question chezzers should fit back in the no1 spot soon as hes fit.

I think with the CO.C coming up, Shezzers will have his chance.

I strongly disagree. When the CO.C comes up, Mannone will have his chance again. Szczesny is firmly number 1. Nothing i've seen has changed that.

But people deserve to have their effort rewarded. Like it or not, two of our clean sheets are Mannone's. As far as I'm concerned the onus is not on the player covering the injury, it's on the player recovering from it. If the understudy is good enough, he keeps the starting position and goes on with it, if not, he reverts to back-up and the starter returns.
Irrespective of how shaky Vito looked, he has conceded no goals, and our first win has come with him in goal, so I think he needs to stay in unless the worst happens. If he'd cost us points or even a goal then maybe you could make the case, but I don't see the justification.
Give Szczesny the cup games until he's fit or Mannone starts slipping. It'll be a good test of his character.

Still a long way to go with the defence.
What was up with that when 3 of our players couldn't clear the ball in the area and Sterling managed to get a decent shot in???

the bounce was a bit awkward, but whoever headed it should have just booted it instead.

That kinda was a half chance, as it it the outside of the point.
Mannone had that side of the post covered.
Every team will have some sort of chance/half chance. The defence's job is to limit it.
And they've done excellently so far.

Not saying we haven't, just saying we still seem to have those heart in mouth moments that we are so well known for.
Need to be much more solid.

He is number, agree, would always have him, but he has been injured, he need training and games and confidence building, no point taking monone out when he is on the high. I think its just a case of Shezzers coming in, so that he is ready, blends in slowly, rather then throwing him inot the deep end.

Same time, I thought the CO.C was in the coming weeks which would tie in nicely if Shezzers was looking ot ba back in a week or two time, but now see its the 26ths which is tad away. So not sure if manone is dropped immediately for a fit Shez.
