Starters that you think shouldn't start

Are there any people with regular starting spots in the line up for us at the moment that you don't think should be?

The 2 players in my mind that aren't good enough are:

Evra & Carrick

Evra: as good as he was has lost it quickly. One of my favourite players of recent years for us and possibly the best left back in the world but deteriorated drastically over the last two years and has become a bit of a liability.

Carrick: I know Fun Rob seriously took my article about his boy Carrick to heart but frankly, I just don't rate the guy. I don't think he is anywhere near good enough for us and frankly never has been.

I haven't put Cleverly in there because he's young and should be given a chance.

I haven't put Young in there because I think Valencia and Nani are first choice and Young is decent back up.

If De Gea doesn't become more commanding, he should be on the list too. As wonderful as his shot stopping and kicking is, if he doesn't become commanding with time (which I hope he will) the whole defence will be shaky.

I don't want this to become a slagging match of people offering pedantic, condescending, pseudo intellectual comments like usual as it's just what I think and i'm wondering what you guys think too.

Cheers

carrick is an excellent player and by far and away our best and most consistent mf player, obviously when scholes plays like he did on saturday then he is our best player never mind best mf, but for sheer consistency carrick is our best mf player, his intelligence is 2nd to none in terms of anticipating play and being able to intercept balls from the opposition and his range of passing once he gets the ball is also excellent.

Well said Mexican. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably thinks that we should have re-signed Robbie Savage back in the day to solve our midfield problem

never has a man with so little talent earned so much money from football as robbie savage, he's the johnathan ross of football.
