I was never a fan of Distin pre his arrival at GP.

Can't count more than 4/5 mistakes that have cost us goals in that time...
Wish we had him at 25, just gets better with age (2 were against Liverpool)

the only way to improve on 2nd is with 1st. thats winning the league. yes im a red but those two and jovetic wouldnt have won us the league.

I have rated Distin ever since he came in, I remember the rumors about him and was very happy about it. Instead we got the Greek

I agree with everything he said.

G&H ruined us.

They would have improved the squad. And with Jovetic there would have been a fair amount of longevity too.

Everyone else was improving whilst we stood still.

Distin is a great defender still even at hos age.

I wonder if some people actually read an article or do they read the first paragraph and then apply their own story?

How anyone can say that the article says Distin and Jovetic would have won us the league is quite clearly an idiot or at the very least a moron.

Rafa's comments are absolute nonsense anyway, because those signings would definitely not helped Liverpool build on the previous season.

That's not a comment on Jovetic and Distin. However Rafa failed to replace arguably the greatest defensive midfield playmaker (or regista) that has ever graced the Premier League.

Sure you can point to Aquilani, but an injured, injury-prone player was nowhere near an adequate replacement.

Rafa is delusional if he think signing Jovetic and Distin would have made the difference x
