Hillsborough. The Truth at last !

I think we just need to recognise what has come out yesterday.

For 23 years Liverpool fans have carried the weight of not only the absolute tragedy of the deaths of so many, but the stigma of being somehow 'responsible' for the events on that horrific day.

While most people had already accepted that there was more to this than was being fed to us, ie that it was drunken fans who pushed the gates open, this finally proves beyond any doubt that it was the SY Police who were responsible.

The actions of the Police that day were entirely responsible for what happened. However the corruption of the evidence by altering statements to protect their own skins and deflecting the blame onto the fans was disgusting.

I clearly remember that day, and seeing the news stories of the events. It was horrific beyond belief.

Maybe now, at last, the families of the many many victims on that day can find some peace.

I hope so.

Sorry guys, this post is about Hillsborough and not a political furum...hence I've taken the opportunity to delete your posts. If you want to talk Maggie, start a new post.

personally I find it offensive that you turn this into a Political debate.

Whatever anyone thinks about the politics at the time, this is not the place to have that debate.

Respect ?

Jacko,

You are a "Pathetic Deleter" who simply removes posts because you have no logical arguments against them.

Grow a pair mate.

I didn't see your post Mirf but if it was off topic then Jacko has every right to delete it, particularly on a subject as sensitive as this.

Good to see you back on here tho, haven't seen you post in a while

Novak,

It was in response to your earlier comments castigating Maggie Thatcher, so if it was off topic so were yours.

Jacko was not being even handed, no doubt because I was offering a counter argument against his beloved Labour party.

Btw. I could never ever stomach deleters, who always come across to me as "weak willed" individuals lacking any moral fibre.

All depends on context really, Mirf. I'm not one to delete or complain as a rule, but sometimes the subject matter dictates otherwise.

Like Jacko said though, start your own thread if there is a point you want to put across. He can't delete you off there and I'd be happy to contribute.

any comments re the particular colour of politics at the time of hillsborough have been blown off the page since..
the deceit of the labour party over hundreds of issues, some which cost thousands of lives and now this new conglomeration of "jobs for the public school boys" doing exactly the same...
Its not the colour of politics its the people who are in it thats been the problem for a lot of years..

Mirf...
& Jacko...

Both contributors I like, both to read their comments & replies.
In this instance, I personally think they're both wrong !
But NO.
Not Jacko for deleting.
Nor Mirf for going 'political' ..?

& this is where , I assume here, That I agree with 38.
For as far back as any of us can remember, & beyond, This 'choice', Red v Blue, lab v con,..whatever, is no choice at all, Who ever holds office sings from the song sheet provided by the real powers that be ...If you know their face, their name, It's not them !!

We are the 1st generation EVER, to be able to access alternative news,The MSM is controlled without question.

RIP 96.
