After 23 years the truth has finally been laid bare for all to see. The lies, the coverups, the shadowy darkness that was wrapped around the 'investigation'.....
I was a 13 year old boy on that faitful day.
I had been a holder of my treasured forest season ticket for the Trent end for 2 seasons, where I always managed to wriggle my way up amongst the big noisy men that always stood behind the left post.
The game at hillsborough would be the only away game of the season that I would be unable to get a ticket. I can remember being near to tears that I couldn't go. Many of my friends and family did go and ultimatley bore witness to the horror that unfolded.
As a 36 year old dad now. When I saw the faces of all the men, women and children that needlessly died that day, it took me to tears once more.
I only hope now that the proud, decent and honest families finally get what they have been battling so bravely for over two decades.
Justice.
You'll never walk alone.
Hillsborough .... Truth.... Now justice??

666, The simple fact is that most of the people in that situation wanted to get out but were unable to do so because of the weight of people behind them who had no idea of what was taking place in front of them, and were simply trying to get in. What's wrong with that? The fact remains that if the whole terrace had been reachable from the tunnel, or if some of the fans had been funneled into the outer pens then this would never have happened. You seem to be determined to argue that it was the supporters fault simply because they were there and wanted to get into the ground.

I've repeatedly said there was no malicious intent on the part of the fans oing the pushing.
I've also maintained that after Heysel, Liverpool fans should have known the potential consequences of pushing hard. It wasn't intentional per se, but it WAS negligent in my opinion.

I just cannot agree with that. If you assemble a large crowd of people and give them a strong incentive to congregate in an area that is too small for them there will be negative consequences. To then blame them for causing those consequences is ludicrous.

....I should have added, whilst having them believe that there was adequate space for them all

Why does it open a debate about ticketless fans when two reports have found that the capacity was around the same as tickets sold. Unless the people who had tickets were in the bars and the people without in the stadium. Yes that's it, that seems likely.

The discussion about fans pushing being responsible or partly responsible could have taken place any time over the past 23 years and been debated along with all other points. However, to continue to use that argument after the panel's verdict, reached after two years extensive research into documentary and video evidence, exonerated the fans from all blame, is tantamount to mischief making, or trolling just for the sake of it. It's disrespectful to the families and highly offensive to Liverpool fans. Pushing did not cause the crush.

TOOR - I'm amazed that other fans want to make this stuff up. Why?

Simply to antagonise others and because they've ran with it for years and aren't men enough to admit they were wrong.
