Afraid it is Tonge who will be signing.
Just spoken to my source at the club (it's not my dog walkers, sister's mate...etc).
Should be announced soon.
Very uninspiring i'm afraid.
Feel like we're on a gameshow at the moment... "and here's what you could have won..."
In no particular order:
Bothroyd
Jenas
Ward
Danns
Fuller
Maynard
Beckford
"But you don't go home empty handed, you take away with you..."
Varney
Norris
Drury
Tonge
Gray
Ashdown
Green
Michael Tonge to sign today

Not a very inspiring signing if true.
I'll back him until he plays badly though.

And Anyone with a brain would know a better manager that had players like
Becchio, Ross, howson, bj, songrass would got us up.
3 of then are in the prem one scored 19 goals who he missed managed and the other one will be the next one sold to a prem club, would got us up.

I think you hit the nail on head.
Warnock does not have long term plans for this squad, if he fails to get us promoted, where does that leave us?

Haha what an article!

SG got us very close to the playoffs and with a couple of signings that January we wouldve gone up in my opinion....instead all we could afford were bottom of the barrel loan signings that were all garbage and offered nothing
If you cant see that SG couldnt get the players he wanted then your an idiot....simple as

bottom of the barrel loan signings ?
What you mean the 2 prem players that come in?
Ones that started prem goals when went back to prem and are playing in the prem.
Dear me

Can't believe some people still believe Grayson did a good job for getting us 'close to the playoffs'.
We scored the 2nd most goals in the division that season. But only finished 7th. That tells you everything about the quality of players we had and how we were held back by an average manager.

Kenny? How did a ageing bog standard keeper who was banned for drug taking get 'everybody excited'? He is no better than the keepers we had, what a waste of money - Warnock is clueless.

Some of us have been pointingthis out for months....this is teh probelm when you opnly hire managers for teh short term despite Warnock saying he is building for trh future.
How on earth are Kenny, Ashdown, Drury, Green, Norris, Gray, Diouf the future?
Peltier, Pearce and Auston should be the future, but ;et's be honest, how many out clubs vying for promotion would jump at chance to sign them?
We've got a workmanlike squad which is Warnock's style...all the promises he has made along the way simply haven't happened (3/4 players before his holiday, next signings are jewels in the crown etc)
The man is either bull sh itting or is one of the most gullible managers in the world if he truly believed Bates was going to give him all he wanted.

If it was a few years ago I might have said decent signing but up to "recently", well our very own Danny Pugh got in Stoke squad and team ahead of Michael Tonge! Just cos he played for Warnock he means he's better even if he hasn't played regularly for 4 years basically? Joke! If he was any good now maybe the teams he's been on loan to would have already signed him
