Cheers Neil, I was worried about that.
Tonge confirmed on OS

SKB, sorry in future I will bow to your judgment that losing 7-3 at home to a team who hadn't scored in three matches is actually a great result. Yes, Warnock's signings have been brilliant haven't they? heaven helop us - Kenny is not a good signing, he is not a good keeper and he cost us money. The one and only potentially good signing Warnock has made is Austin and that's just on youtube-reputation because so far he looks distinctly average.

'Abysmal signings? To be honest i can't think of any.'
Four words SKB:
Andy Gray
Michael Tonge
both Barnsley rejects last season.

Is Brown a hard man? Not sure he's played that many games for any of us to form an opinion. He's usually out injured or suspended. In the case of the latter, he's a dirty player rather than a hard player IMO.

Stevie
I agree, there a big difference between a hard tough tackling player and one who gives cheap fouls away

The team currently and at the end of the transfer window is/was short in numbers and quality. That to me and as is pointed out constantly is due to a lack of funds and why the majority so desperately want Bates out.
Looking at the Michael Tonge signing, he wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for injuries. Similar to last season when Grayson loaned Pugh due to the left side player Gradel being sold on the last day of the transfer window. He's here to fill a gap created by our lack of funds to create a squad capable of going through the season without the need for loan signings.
Andy Gray is the 4th striker, behind Becchio, McCormack and Somma. It isn't Warnock's fault Somma is out injured, but unfortunately unlike at clubs such as Leicester who have strength in depth in each position e.g. striker: Beckford, Vardy, Nugent, Futacs and Waghorn, we have to settle for a far lower standard of player. Gray is replacing Paynter who contributed virtually nothing in his time at the club, and based on where he has ended up i would say he is a slight step up.

Will we ever go through a season without an emergency loan?
I hate these short term loans. About 90% of them for us have been poor signings.
I actually don't see how Tonge is going to do a better job than Pugh would, what's the point? We have Thompson and Pugh, who can fill in for a little bit of time, there's no point bringing in another average player, whilst keeping two on the bench.

But he's Warnock's old mate - just like Gray and Kenny
