Of the 4 new players brought in, Rob Jones was here last season when we got only slightly better and by all accounts Prutton hasn't played well for a few years. Bennett and particularly Semedo look promising but we're going to need a lot more than these two.
I appreciate Megson accepts the latter point and is trying hard to bring players in but, if reports are to be believed, he'll be happy with bringing in Mellor, O'Grady, Bathh and a left-sided midfielder. Are these players going to be enough to get us the 25 points or so extra we'll need to challenge? I guess noone knows until the season gets underway but since 2 of those names were with us last season, when we were pretty average even after Megson took over, I'm not so sure.
No doubt I'll be shouted at for moaning or wanting us to sign players willy nilly and reminded the season doesn't start for 3 weeks but I do think it's rather worrying that we haven't signed players before pre-season and the majority of names linked with us were here last year.
Currently we have Morrison, Madine, Jermaine Johnson and Coke as the only attacking players at the club..

I doubt miller will play a lot, we just signed damien Johnson on loan again,I think miller was a plan b/c if the Johnson deal didn't come off.

expensive plan B/C mate, his wages will be around the 4/5K mark. Let me be honest, if you can keep him fit and get the best out of him, he's a decent squad player, he can score a goal from 20 yards and puts pens away, but i've got to say.... you do already have better than him and he is not going to improve your squad!

Saying that though mate, Johnson's just getting fit after a bad knee injury,so miller might play a bigger part than I thought.

I reckon in both Miller and DJ, you have potentially decent players, but as always these days, depends on their fitness, are footballers made of chocolate these days or what?

Miller was one of the reasons why we got relegated & one of the reasons why we finished below half way last season. He will not help Huddersfield get promoted.

obviously was visible enough to be your captain! youce always gotta be happy to add anothet squad player to your list. seems to be making a decent impression in pre season so far. maybe he might just 'pop' up and score a couple league goals against you this season. not that would be a sickner. and while hes at it our own alan lee might fancy sinking one past you too. oh the joys! the script is already written i can seen the headlines now

Really not sure why you're trying to lord it because you've signed Miller; you'll struggle to find any Wednesday fan who cares that he's gone. He did alright and scored a few towards the end of last season but that's all so wind your neck in, eh?
