Very impressed but can it get better

Really impressed with the team we put out last night but we were missing a number of players , who may or may not force their way into the starting X1 from those missing players

YK
Parker
Ade
B A E

plus a few others who could feature , but will they ?????

So fellow fans , who's in and who's out ?????

squid,

Caulker was one of the stars of the GB team and Swans player of the season

=================

For the record, Vorm won Swansea's player of the season.

squid

I dont what it is, but i just cant stand the bloke. Whether he's giving an interview to the media, or just looking clueless on the touchline, i just want to strangle him.

I thought it was an excellent performance, my first time to really watch Caulker and was very impressed for a debut against very tricky opponents. Vert seems to be settling in and looks quite the powerhouse going forward. Dembele looks absolutely awesome My only worry is he'll become so important to the team we have no cover for him.

Dempsey I thought had a good first half, albeit obviously without a huge understanding of the runs and positions of some around him.

Couldn't have asked for more going into the game really, apart from the win which only the ref denied us.

Back to the article's question and it's hard for me to see Scotty fitting in to this type of team unless he can bring more to his game than we saw last season. A bit one-dimensional and slow. The former may well be due to Harry telling him to play that role, as there was one game late in the season where he burst forward from midfield into dangerous areas a few times - I nearly choked on my white russian!

BAE - Naughton also showed a lot for me last night, If he continues to settle in he may be hard to shift. Obviously he needs to cover RB too, so if Walker's ever out BAE would be straight back in imo.

Ade - obviously will fit in and be in contention.

Kaboul - likewise, especially if we need Verty to cover LB at any point.

Morning Kim

There are always players that teams rely too much on but if they are oout somehow they manage.....Well pleased and some of the football was up with the best stuff from last year

A very good point Squid, and one that I hope is going to change at our club this season (and I fully expect it to) - no more "well so'n'so was out and he's so important to our team it was always going to be difficult/almost impossible to get a result without him".
