Yes we were poor in the first half but I can't remember a time where we played so well like we did in that second half.
Scholes was outstanding and Rafael, Rooney and Kagawa should get a special mention for that second half performance.
We should have had 2 penalties and RVP should have done better with his shot but I have no hard feelings about that loss and hopefully we can use this defeat as a springboard for a good run in the future.
Well played (in the first half) Spurs and Giggs, don't retire, but be a sub in future
Scholes, you can start anytime
Absolutely no shame in that defeat.

.......................
What game were you watching you clown, a rerun of an old United Spurs game.
Scholes was one of the main reasons we were two down at half time.

Do you honestly think we deserved to lose that match?

if we had won that game it would nave been a travesty.

RB&W
Same as last week, and SAF thought he would get away with it again.
It is bad enough giving the opposition an advantage by starting Scholes, but Giggs as well?
What was SAF thinking?

He isn't. At least not with his head.

I'm starting to feel sick seeing Giggs and Scholes starting at the same time now, just bench them please and give Ando/Clevs a chance. It's getting so ridiculous now, second defeat in 6 games. What a let down

I don't know.
He rates Giggs that's for sure. Our defence didn't help us today, too. Can't cope with pace.
I thought Spurs looked quite good in the first half actually. But was pretty convinced we would win still win it at half time. Mainly because we have done it countless times before against Spurs.TbF we nearly did. The comeback magic dust might be wearing a little thin these days.

Exciting though, totally lost my voice today.
Teams must have a look at our line up with Giggs and Scholes starting and think "we've got a chance here". You're almost writing their team talk for them... High energy, bypass them they won't get back at you etc etc.
Yes it's a team game, but not picking your best pair (or 3) in the engine room just knackers the rest of the set up.
Anyway, lessons learned hopefully, onwards and upwards and all that...

Friedel made 3 good saves in the second half.

I don't recall him making any save you wouldn't expect him to make. Apart from Roo's free kick I tthought we never looked like scoring an equaliser.
Sorry funrob but the consensus seems to be that we didn't play anywhere near as well you seem to think we did. I appreciate your optimism but we just weren't good enough on the day. We didn't deserve to win.

What about when RVP was in on goal or the penalty we should have had when Sandro handled?
Spurs were good but lets not make them out to be a team that humbled us.

Fair enough, I don't think they did that.
