Anyone can score against us - we have no defence. Love Scotty, but frustrated about our current situation.

I glad it was Scotty.he didn't celebrate and to cap it all they had a streaker,a BCFC one of course..

...Hunt played well in central defence and Mr Millen remains quiet, I wonder why,I know it was a 2nd string and a pre-season friendly and Bath are a very good side...Yea/No........

I think it's gonna be a very long season if Millen doesn't get his act together...
Reminds me of last seasons pre games.......very worrying.

Just back from the game. We were dire.

Millen reckons we're starting to play his style - daft little sideways ball that got us nowhere, then hoof it. Whoever thinks Hunt did well tonight wasn't at the game and remember we're playing a Conference side. Each time the ball was crossed in we didn't have a clue and straight balls through the centre cut our defence in half.
We were awful. My first look at Ryan Taylor - looks a better CH than front runner !

Ok it was another friendly but hell we just went through the motions.

I would question the wisdom of playing Bath. Better to play a team above us where players would be out to prove themselves and deliver a performance. I know its all about fitness for these games, but its also about performance levels, and its difficult to see where the motivation would come from against a conference side. One thing is for sure, losing to these basement teams will not be doing our confidence or self esteem any good at all.

KM - hurry up and buy us a defence

I would give Millen 6 games. Less than 5 points I would get shot. IMO he's had plenty of time regarding signings that we need. If we have to continue with the style "hoof & hope" and a fragile defence then we have not progressed. Anyone saying we have a chance of a top 5 finish are totally deluded.

Chopping and changing managers everytime we hit bad form or have a worry is not the solution. Had the season started in November last season we would have finished 9th. I dont know how many teams have been stone dead bottom after 12 games to find themselves 10 points off the playoffs in Feb. People lose sight of the fact that we are Bristol City ie, not a big club in this division. We have defensive issues atm, Keef and co have tried to adress this but most of our targets will be playing in prem or bigger championship clubs. We still have the best striker in the league and a perfectly capable midfield. 3 weeks left until season starts, and anyone who reads too much into pre-season results is a fool, were not the only teaing, look at our blue mates comfortably beating Burnley the other night. We always get creamed by the lower division sides which is why we rarely progress in the cup comps and are awful pre-season. If we still have no defenders come the 6th August then we should worry but this WONT be the case.

Well said Lacy Boy-voice of common sense.
I think we will know by Christmas if the present management is working or delivering to us disaster.

Management change is a big move, and there has to be a serious reason to undertake it.
What is more valuable is stability, and our club certainly needs a few seasons of that. Based upon what I have seen so far, I am quite certain that KM will deliver this to us, and challenge for something important by April next year.

If nothing by Christmas but struggle, then we will need a rethink methinks. Thats what I wrote in October last year, and I have seen nothing to change my mind either way.
Of course, the board will have their own policy on this, and I trust they will be guided by the wisdom and experience of Steve Lansdown
