Aye right. Jist accept we're pash and should finish the bottom of the group. Whit a fekkin whanker. What exactly are u getting paid for as performance director ?
No we won't accept it. Good money gets paid by the fans. You are highly paid at the SFA along with the likes of Regan. The player are all highly paid professionals playing in the top leagues in their country and in Europe.
We will not lower our expectation. You stick to improving performance pal. OK
And Latrine can get tae fakk. Aw his wee pals coming oot the woodwork in support, when all they're really doing is trying to protect their own skins
WTF is this pr!ck gettin paid for exactly ?

Outspoken Wotte said: “There are many reasons for the decline of Scottish football.
“One of them is lifestyle issues. The kids should not be growing up with crisps, McDonalds and Coca-Cola.
“And when they are 16 they are going on the Buckfast and having a great night. I am not blind, I live close to Glasgow so I see this. There are too many drop-outs at 16 or 17 because they are on the Buckfast and see things they think are better than football. They turn around and say: ‘Byee, I’m off’. That’s not the way I want to see this generation.”
Wotte sifted through the wreckage of Scotland’s World Cup collapse and claimed there is no point in sacking beleaguered boss Levein

he makes a good point there,i remember barry douglas who plays for dundee utd from about 7 or 8 years ago,he's the same age and from the same part of pollok as me so i know him although not very well
i remember he would come up the woods when we were about 13,14,15 etc and we would all be drinking and taking buckets but he didn't touch anything because he was right int his football training and playing football at the weekends
point is he wasn't one of the best football players from around this area at our age but stayed away from the drugs and drink unlike almost everybody else

I was saying that Strachan would be a mistake and we need to be looking at the likes of Redknapp, Advocaat, Hiddink, Klinsmann and Jol.
------------------------------
Agree with that
Don't think Strachan is a great choice. He did well at Celtic but he had resources there.
When he's had a backs to the wall job in England he has generally failed. Scotland is the ultmiate backs to the wall job in world football at the moment.
I think a decent foreign coach is the way to go. Can't see us paying the wages though. Hiddink and Advocaat, would they take it? They would pretty much be on a hiding to nothing and we probably couldn't afford what they would demand.
If we are just going to appoint another average Scottish manager then we may as well stick with Levein as they are unlikely to improve the situation. Our players are out of date, so are our tactics, fitness, attitude, the list goes on. I can't see any other Scottish coach making a difference.

I'm pointing out he is performance director and should concentrate on that given recent performances.
------------------------
Fair enough, but he was asked the question. He's hardly going to go publicly criticise Levein though is he.
I think it's safe to assume Levein will be sacked, Wotte adding to the vitriol is hardly going to make any odds either way.
Levein hasn't got the results, that's a fair judgement but there's no need in the personal abuse he seems to be getting.
He seems a decent enough guy trying to do a job to me. Personally I don't think any other Scottish manager who would take it (and not run at the first meaningful offer from elsewhere) will do any better. I think like said above, a foreigner, is the best option. Question is, can the SFA afford it?

Bring back Craig Brown
In all seriousness I would go for WGS. Dull ( not as dull as Wattie ) but effective football is what we need at this time.

Or can we afford NOT to get somebody forward-thinking in? I can see attendances at Hampden starting to drop like a stone the way we're going, and that will hit the SFA hard financially.
---------------------------------
I'm about 80% sure they'll go for the quick fix as usual.
There is no point replacing like for like. Another run of the mill Scottish manager is not the answer. We need someone fresh, this will come at a cost though.

Dave
Exactly. We cannot afford to get the next appointment wrong. A top class coach is required to get us moving in the right direction. It requires a £1m+ salary per year then so be it. You speculate to accumulate. Afterall, everyteamtnatqualifies for Brazil 2014 will receive £10m from FIFA. That alone pays the managers wages

Worse than Levin would you believe.
The period covered the aftermath of the 1982 World Cup Finals in Spain, when Scotland approached their next target and flopped miserably in their bid to reach the finals of the 1984 European Championships.
That campaign in a four-team-six-match section kicked off with a 2-0 win over East Germany which was followed by a failure to win any of the five remaining matches.
The Scots lost 2-0 in Switzerland and 3-2 in Belgium, before drawing 2-2 with Switzerland at Hampden and 1-1 with Belgium at Hampden, followed by a 2-1 defeat away to East Germany.
The run of failure upon failure encompassed seasons 1982-83 and 83-84 and included the old Home Internationals in the spring of 1983 when the Scots lost 2-0 to England, drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland, but at least managed to beat Wales 2-0.
And the manager during this period when Scotland were on the road to oblivion?
