Robin Van Persie - Age 29 Cost £22 Million
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - Age 29 Cost 5-10 Million
The stats speak for themselves not even close to be honest...
This guy is no Dempsey he is far far superior if Liverpool mean business and want to send out a positive message to fan's then this is the guy we need. So what if he has no resale value he will score goals and tons of them and thats what we need a bit of experience up front and a goal scorer and for the money I honestly think it would be a bargain if we could pull it off...
Been saying it for ages!!!!!!!

Who is claiming that he would want to sign for us? All I can see is people saying they would like us to sign him. Whether he would want to sign is a totally different matter. Are you saying that no player will want to play for a club who haven't won anything 'of note' for a few years? Why does anyone ever sign for clubs like Everton then. No disrespect to Everton but they haven't won anything for years, never mind anything 'of note'

Alas
He would come to Liverpool because he can see we have a vibrant young team and a new start with a top manager. He's not played in the Premiership before and what club has more passionate fans or a fantastic City to be part of?

If he wants to play in the Prem then we are about his only realistic option.
Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and Chelsea won't want him. Newcastle and Everton can't afford his wages.
I doubt he does have a longing to play in England personally, but if he does, it's pretty much us or no-one.

How is BJ a top manager? He hasn't done anything yet. Like I said,it's all maybe's,and at 29,I can't see him taking the risk.

He wouldn't go to Everton or Newcastle, and I can see the teams mentioned becoming interested if he was on a free.

The title of this article's misleading. If both were on a free who would you take RVP or Huntelaar? (forget the wages, it's hypothetical).
If the question is would Huntelaar be great for LIverpool then the answers an unequivocal yes. I've said this before about Bent, but it seems the feeling on here is that he doesn't fit the age/value for money profile that FSG are looking for. From that point of view neither does Huntelaar.

Huntelaar is a lazy donkey who wouldn't work in a 433 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Huntelaar has played 4 years at Ajax as the striker in a 4-3-3 formation, earning himself a transfer to Real Madrid.
Yep, he didn't make it there. But neither did Sneijder, van der Vaart en Robben. All four played at Real at the time, and all 4 were sold. Wouldn't call them a failure in the big leagues, would you?
Huntelaar, has scored 34 goals for the Dutch national team....which always plays with 3 strikers....

Suarez would probably be very pleased with his signing. Suarez and KJH where deadly at Ajax together.

agreed he might want to play in the champions league but from his point of view, he's had his big move to real madrid which was a major chance for him to win the CL. Now maybe he wants a different type of challenge which in my view isn't unrealistic. he knows that he and suarez have the capability to devastate any defence. he might fancy playing alongside suarez again and see if he can help liverpool back to where they should be.

Any how,I thought your boards policy was buy young. Huntelaar may come on a free, but his wages will be huge.
