I'm as much of an Evertonian as anyone else. For work reasons, I can't get to every game, but I always try and I'm always gutted when I have to sit in front of a telly, or even a laptop and find a stream to watch Everton play. But I've finally accepted something about Moyes.
I believe he'd love to make us top dogs on Merseyside, I think he'd love to be the one who made us Merseyside's most dominant club. But I genuinely don't think he can, at least right now, although I do think our side is better, and as Mark Lawrenson said we have more quality
I think there's a built in belief within the playing staff that they will always find a way to grab at least a point.
I'm not calling for Moyes to go, personally I love everything Moyes has done for us.
People call us long ball, but the stats say otherwise.
People say he's had money, but then argue over gross/net spend.
Moyes has saved this club almost single handedly, but his biggest fault may be the one fans of other clubs remember him for, but I do think this part of his character will always hold him back.
Moyes

There's been many a team that have got to cup finals or won a cup that have been relegated due to the distraction of a cup run.The league is a true reflection of how strong or good a club is.League cup in all it's guises should be fought over by non premiership teams as its a nothing competition that for big clubs is used to blood youth,For clubs at the wrong end of the league they don't want to be in it cos staying in the premiership is worth 100x more financially than winning some silverware.FA cup is worth winning because of the history and prestige of it alone. We all know that the league will be decided between 2 maybe 3 clubs,so what else can we expect of Moyes?.
I would like Moyes at Everton to win a trophy, even the league cup if it meant Europa Qualification as the prize, but even if he doesn't he has year in year out improved our squad despite the fact our better players have been sold on

Look at my past posts/articles, I usually have nothing but praise for Moyes.
The only issue is, he's the type of manager that builds teams up slowly, and in the modern game it's not possible to win the premier league by doing that.
The other two cups are usually won either by top sides with large squads or by smaller teams who hit form at the right time.

Well thats the only way we are going to have a chance of building a team unless you have an ceils full of money trees

Ps do you have a veils full if money trees? And if so were

I have neither "an ceils" nor "a veils" full of money trees, and probably never will, nor did I claim to be a better manager than Moyes.
My observation was that while Moyes is the best manager we can hope for in our present situation, if we had the takeover we've all prayed for, he'd probably not last long.

I can see him taking Everton to a top4 finish and jump ship to United as Fergies successor.
I cant see United going straight in for Jose or Pep. With their tradition I'd think Moyes is the perfect fit.

I think the appeal to the Glaciers would be that he has an eye for a bargain. If Utd had guaranteed Champions League every year, they'd be happy finishing 4th
