His contract is due up at the end of the season, maybe this might be his final season in charge
I don't want him to leave though. I'd rather finish 6th on a limited budget than win a particular set of games every season and be relegated.on the same budget.
I remember a while back people calling for Mark Hughes to take over
I don't get it, you make it sound like wanting to win a game of football is a bad thing?
He will sign up in January I believe. Why spend 10 years of your life building your club up to your vision (setup, staff, training) to walk away .
Pienaar's experience should show him the grass is not always greener on the other side.
10 more years with us then he will retire from serious football and become Scotland boss
I dont want him to leave either, the only blemish he has, is that he hasn't won a cup ( yet )
There are managers who are great in the league, which I think Moyes is.
Some have great cup records (Houllier anyone?)
It just depresses me that, as much as I love Moyes, if we were in Man City's position, we'd have had to let him go,

Where?
There's been many a team that have got to cup finals or won a cup that have been relegated due to the distraction of a cup run.The league is a true reflection of how strong or good a club is.League cup in all it's guises should be fought over by non premiership teams as its a nothing competition that for big clubs is used to blood youth,For clubs at the wrong end of the league they don't want to be in it cos staying in the premiership is worth 100x more financially than winning some silverware.FA cup is worth winning because of the history and prestige of it alone. We all know that the league will be decided between 2 maybe 3 clubs,so what else can we expect of Moyes?.
I would like Moyes at Everton to win a trophy, even the league cup if it meant Europa Qualification as the prize, but even if he doesn't he has year in year out improved our squad despite the fact our better players have been sold on
Look at my past posts/articles, I usually have nothing but praise for Moyes.
The only issue is, he's the type of manager that builds teams up slowly, and in the modern game it's not possible to win the premier league by doing that.
The other two cups are usually won either by top sides with large squads or by smaller teams who hit form at the right time.
Well thats the only way we are going to have a chance of building a team unless you have an ceils full of money trees
Ps do you have a veils full if money trees? And if so were
I have neither "an ceils" nor "a veils" full of money trees, and probably never will, nor did I claim to be a better manager than Moyes.
My observation was that while Moyes is the best manager we can hope for in our present situation, if we had the takeover we've all prayed for, he'd probably not last long.
I can see him taking Everton to a top4 finish and jump ship to United as Fergies successor.
I cant see United going straight in for Jose or Pep. With their tradition I'd think Moyes is the perfect fit.
My phone didn't want say fields,
Dude not arguing with you in fact I agree with what your saying
I think the appeal to the Glaciers would be that he has an eye for a bargain. If Utd had guaranteed Champions League every year, they'd be happy finishing 4th
Fair enough Mr Reasonable haha, to be fair 9 times out of 10 I agree with you on here, I usually don't log in here but the ridiculous comments from the other half of our fair city made me
Cheers bud, I even gave you a 5*.
Wouldn't be able to suggest anyone should davey leave
