It doesn't matter what kind of evidence you present the idea that United are favoured is a myth so rooted in the psyche of the average fan that no reality can impose upon a such a comforting fantasy.

Terrible penalty; telegraphed the move, hardly any pace, way too near the 'keeper - in fact it was only the fact that the fool of a 'keeper just stood dumbfounded and watched it roll in that saved the blushes of the taker.
Still, he is paying the penalty now ! (see what I did there?)
He has been dropped, faces a lengthy ban and possibly worse, from his own FA, who were outraged at the "disrespectful" conduct.
He was also booked by the ref, though exactly what for, who knows - I know of no rule which prohibits his action.
