Building muscle mass

And no im not talking stauners here

Being working out for nearly a year now and cant seem to build any major muscle mass. Trying to bulk up upper body. I increase my weights gradually each month, even alternate i.e. chest press ill do 8 reps at a low weight then 6 reps at a higher weight and then 4 reps at the highest weight I can do.

Also I ran about 4 miles couple times a week and take a protein drink after every work out but still nothing. After each workout my muscles are bulging and im sweating big time and feel good. But despite alternating weights and exercises still nothing.

Thoughts?

I also buy these by the trolley full. Tesco Tuna Fillets In Sw Chilli Sauce. 1 tin = 26g of protein = £1
