'I'd rather play as a central attacker.'
'On the left I have to do a lot of defensive work, constantly running up and down. I am not a classical winger.'
Another player who is unhappy at being played out of position. Now we all know how inflexible Wenger is when it comes to formation and tactics so why can't he just buy players who are specialists in their positions. Why does he feel the need to mould players into something they're not, I know it worked with Henry but he was a rare talent and most players aren't good or versatile enough to adapt to different roles- Arshavin, Bendtner and Eboue were all ruined by constantly being played out of position.
Do we not discuss this kind of thing before signing a player or are we only interested in what price we are getting?

Podolski is a class finisher. 18 goals for a relgated side is nothing odinary. If we play 442 the amount of goals we'd score...

im surprised we dont bid for Burak Yilmaz from Galatasaray available for around 7-10m pacey striker anelka like speed. Scoring quite a few goals atm Liverpool are interested aswell.

"If we don't win a trophy in the next two years my project would have failed" he said this in 2008.
It has been 4 years since then yet he is still stubbornly sticking with his failed philosophies, Le Prof has definitely gone mad.

he doesn't posses the capabilities to play as a central striker.
He floped at bayern munich so left for a shittier club like schalke so he would look better

So Podolski travelled up from Munich to Gelsenkirchen, but stopped off in Koln on the way for a few seasons then?
Okay.

Playing out of position for the National team is doable as you're not playing week in week out. Even for Germany Podolski had a very quiet tournament and was replaced with Reus after a couple of games.
As a wide player he doesn't offer much compared to what we had in previous years, players like Nasri, Hleb and Arshavin were all capable of dribbling past players and offered alot of creativity which took some pressure off Fabregas. Nowadays Cazorla is our only creative outlet which is why we're struggling so badly to create chances.

From the beginning he is a CF/striker, NOT a left wing or left midfield. He has a good left foot and some speed does not mean he can really play as a wing.
I think what frustrates him more is, he IS LIABLE to Santos' lousy defensive work. If Santos plays bad people blame Poldi not covering him enough. Also seeing Giroud ( I still like him very much) missing tons of sitters and chances and still get the chance up front won't make him feel better.
