now investigating hearts for their financial mismanagement and failure to pay PAYE?
we all know that phil is now an expert on all things tax related and surely in the interest of investigative journalism he will now turn his spotlight to hearts?
Phil's lap dug thompson is sure to follow suit?

meuancoop- Aye but Romanov would still be the owner and could then leverage the debt back onto Hearts minus any debt due to HMRC.
Or he could transfer assets to UKIO Bankas, such as Tynecastle. So he'd own the stadium separately from the club.
For me the most likely outcome is Hearts to be without a stadium come the end of the season, sold off to fans for a pittance but forced to ground share with Hibs or Livingston.

Its a lot of ifs and buts isnt it.
Exactly the same position we were in with Rangers, no one knows whats going to happen.
I know most fans will be throwing money into the club now to try and save it based on their love for the club but its all going to be wasted from what I can see.
Yeah, get the fans to pay the £450,000 tax bill but there must be a reason Hearts were not paying it themselves in the first place. Will they be able to pay their taxes on following months?
A total guess is that the taxes they didnt pay was used to pay staff (late) on previous months. So in other words Hearts simply do not have the finances pay their staff and pay their taxes.

Seems an expensive, legal etc, and complicated way of getting rid of a £2m debt.

TRFC- Maybe aye, to be honest I don't care. I think Romanov doesn't either. The only way he can get anything like his money back would be to sell the ground.
One interesting point: IF Hearts went into administration and then liquidation we would then no longer have to pay any outstanding bills to them. After all, the SFA have prevented Southampton from paying Rangers for Davis so what goes around etc.
Guaranteed that isn't allowed to come to pass....

Apparently we owe them nothing.
There were reports that Hearts asked Charles Green for the final payment for Lee Wallace early and would accept less.
Think its been said we agreed and gave them approx £400,000 last week.
If true then that makes you wonder where that cash has gone if they still cant pay bills?!?!

What about Templeton Ron? Did we pay up front for him?
To be honest, i'd be amazed if any club extended any credit to Rangers in the current circumstances. Even though everything has been paid that should have been paid you'd still think clubs would be wary of a newco.

Think we paid in full for templeton and got 100k off the Wallace fee

Does Romanov (or his bank) have a floating charge over Tynecastle etc?

" What about Templeton Ron? Did we pay up front for him?"
We got him for 300k and then a new settlement for Wallace, which was then revised last week. We don't owe hearts a penny.
