Sunday Supplement

Did anyone see the show this morning? I watch it every week and though some find it dry I enjoy listening to the views of most of the journalists (whether right or wrong). Again it was interesting to see how the majority of pundits have something against AVB. Apparently sticking up for Adebayor in the post match press conference deems AVB a joke. Also they have latched onto the squatting on the touchline again as some kind of fault. I know we were let down by Adebayor but they surely cannot expect a public persecution from his manager? And can he not do what he likes on the touchline? Of course they are entitled to their opinions but it is looking increasingly hard for young coaches to break into the game, and quite obviously the majority of the press have a vendetta aginst AVB. Views?

Well you had it easy with the media under Arry. You gotta tough it out now with constant media scrutiny under AVB.

Harry was the one that had it easy imo. Certain press only grudgingly admitted that we had the 'potential' to be a top 4 team when we were actually sitting in 4th

Haters

It would have been tough for anyone coming in to replace 'Arry the media darling unless they acheived great results from the outset. The whole episode with him at Chelsea has lead to a lot of journalists forming a negative opinion of the bloke and nothing short of a fantastic season is likely to change those opinions.

Yea and the rest had you as champions elect and top club in London. The thing that is ironic are the ones who bought the media hype back then are the ones who can't stand the media right now.

Tottenham were definite media darlings through much of 'Arry's reign. The hype last season up until January was toe-curling. The only team that can be eulogized after a 5-0 massacre by Madrid.

AVB certainly has my sympathy just like Benitez did in Liverpool. If not for Wenger's elder statesman status, he'd have been subjected to the same.

they hate him, and i think it was the comment about slapping the press.

i have nothing against AVB, i know that he has been fighting the media for most of his time here.
