Even as a gooner I found the crouching down thing they brought up as a bit of a joke

theyll be picking on his facial hair as some kind of fault next

They hate him ever since he said,

"This was a slap in the face to all the media critics"

That was after our 3-0 Valencia win in the CL last year.

Until he gets results, this will continue. It's up to AVB to prove them wrong.

Whether he is good enough or not, I personally think he is doomed as a manager in this country.

Well you had it easy with the media under Arry. You gotta tough it out now with constant media scrutiny under AVB.

The Press are beset by nepotism and it appears that AVB is not in with the crowd, so to speak.

Whereas if you take a manager like Redknapp, it is not hard to imagine him perhaps golfing with members of the Press and therefore he gets more favourable treatment.

I don't believe most Spurs fans will care how he deals with the Press, because like any club they only care about the results their team are getting on the pitch.

Some managers will never be liked by the Press.

Spurs are 3 points behind a main rival for a Champion's league spot (Everton). I can't count WBA sorry as I'm pretty sure post christmas demands and injuries will take their toll. Spurs also have the worst injury list in the league by a mile. Surely the journalists see this.

Henrik. 100% right.

The media will always hate AVB. He took Harry's job after all.

AVB has been hammered since day one, and that is why I still support him, I hate these press vendettas that think by grinding down managers, players, etc. they think it is them that make the decisions, they dn`t. Most journalists are as thick as two planks, and ask the same questions time and time again. Mostly aimed at an audience of 11 year olds.

Harry Redknapp is every Pundits, Journos and media`s darling so its understandable they cant wait to see him fail and have a witch hunt against AVB.

The Sky panel are the same, making fun of AVB and laughing at his note book...... even though Roy Rodgers at Liverpool also has a note book and has guided Liverpool to their worst start in many many years..... he escapes been made fun of.

You must be joking, they are too busy putting out press comments when United or Chelsea have ONE player missing, it is headline news. Spurs have not had a full team out for about FIVE years now, do they care, of course they do not.

Harry was the one that had it easy imo. Certain press only grudgingly admitted that we had the 'potential' to be a top 4 team when we were actually sitting in 4th

Haters

It would have been tough for anyone coming in to replace 'Arry the media darling unless they acheived great results from the outset. The whole episode with him at Chelsea has lead to a lot of journalists forming a negative opinion of the bloke and nothing short of a fantastic season is likely to change those opinions.

Yea and the rest had you as champions elect and top club in London. The thing that is ironic are the ones who bought the media hype back then are the ones who can't stand the media right now.

Sweeping statement. Name names

Tottenham were definite media darlings through much of 'Arry's reign. The hype last season up until January was toe-curling. The only team that can be eulogized after a 5-0 massacre by Madrid.

AVB certainly has my sympathy just like Benitez did in Liverpool. If not for Wenger's elder statesman status, he'd have been subjected to the same.

watching it now.....

they hate him, and i think it was the comment about slapping the press.

i have nothing against AVB, i know that he has been fighting the media for most of his time here.

dunno...i thought they were pretty fair tbh.....thought they wld hammer him way more....

the squat is daft......and the 'we controlled the whole game' qoute....likewise.
