Transfer window

Nearly that time of year again. It's been an indifferent start to Berg's reign with only one win against a very poor P'boro side. Also some of his team selections have beggared belief...why he has chosen to alienate Morten Gamst Pedersen when they are both from Norway for example and probably have a good working relationship I'll never know.

Nonetheless if Venkys have chosen Berg as their man then he needs backing in the transfer market, just as Kean was. Here's a list of potential targets. This list is under the assumption that Venkys are looking for youth.

Ruben, 23, goalkeeper, Santos. £1-2m

Young keeper, with Robbo not getting any younger and Jake Kean bereft of experience (only other option was the young guy Usai on the bench at the end of last season), we need to strengthen. No.2 keeper is a position where we've always struggled (Brown being the best I can remember in recent years). This guy from Santos is currently playing in their reserve team and is rated very highly.

Vagn Kristiansen, 18, Left wing back, Copenhagen. £2.5m

Young guy from denmark who has impressed in their 'B' team. Pacey and would offer some competition to the Olsson twins as he's a very similar type player. Can operate at left back or on the wing. Has been tracked by A LOT of european clubs and reckon his value will double pretty soon.

Mederos Rojas, 19, Centre mid, Malaga. £2m

Reportedly in the 'tugay' mould, but about 20 years younger! Don't know much else about him. Has made 1 or 2 cup appearances for Malaga.

Quentin Silva, 21, Striker, Lorient. £3m.

French striker of Colombian descent. Big, strong, quick and two footed. Made a big splash in france but like the others on this list is still relatively unknown, hence why should be available at a good price.
