Rafa is not a good manager IMO.

Can't wait for him to come back to the PL and once again be exposed for the useless clown that he is.

From Chelsea's point of view, assuming Pep will be available next summer, then appointing Rafa is a no lose situation really.

If Rafa does well, gets Torres back in form, then Pep can take over with a good team, and in form Torres (a saleable Torres if he wants to sell him). Chelsea fans won't be that bothered if Rafa gets the boot even if he does well.

If Rafa does badly, then Pep is the saviour, and Chelsea fans will want Rafa out.

From Rafa's POV its a chance to remind everyone he exists. Even if it only last 6 months, it will bring his profile back up. He will obviously think he will be able to do well, and so even if he is sacked he will be a more attractive manager.

Rafa has an ego, so he is not going to be having any doubts about his ability to do a good job at Chelsea. He will know that it is likely to be a short term job.

His only problem will be if he does badly. He will lose his job, and lose what reputation he has in England, making him basically unemployable for the forseeable future.

Did he ever get LFC to finish above Arsenal in the league?

The funniest thing is that the CFC fans spouted rubbish about Rafa and his record will now have to actually find out the truth so they can now support him. I can just hear you sat next to your computers now, reading the truth and say 'oh, I got that completely wrong - what a tool I am'!

Its a win win situation for us Chelsea fans, if he is sh-te we can wum the scousers and if he is a success we can wum the scousers.........
