Ronaldo Back At Man Utd

Alright hypothetical question. Say come end of the season Ronaldo wanted to leave Madrid and Real were happy to let him go for some mad reason or another.

A. How much do you think we may need to pay to satisfy Real
&
B. Do you think we would do that?

Just curios as to what people think.

If he was pushing for the move then I think it would be less than people think. I really hope Mourinho leaves Madrid for United, swiftly followed by Cristiano and other top players, pulling their pants down completely. I would love that.

I really hope Mourinho leaves Madrid, I don't really care where he goes or who he takes with him. There are plenty of top players who a good manager could get playing attractive football. I honestly can't fathom what people find attractive in the way we've played under him.

If he gets to the last year or two of his contract (expires 2015) and tells them he wants out then not much even Real can do but sell him. If they renew his deal it will be subject to the 50% tax rate rather than 25% when he signed.

Maybe they will take £50m?

I cant see them letting him go for less than £80million. He is not just a player he is more of a brand, they can sell out whole tours of america because people just want to watch him play, also helps he is pretty nifty at kicking footballs

I think people should remember 2 things:

a) Ronaldo is 27 (28 in a few months)
b) He is a player that relies heavily on his physique and athleticism.

So I think its fair to say that any club that ends up paying £70m+ for him in the next few years will be getting well and truly ripped off.

Like many, i'd have Ronaldo back in a heartbeat. But come on, lets be sensible here.

Yeah I dont disagree with that, I think it would be silly for united to pay out that much for him

I don't think Ronaldo will leave Madrid even though he said he was "sad" about something, Real Madrid are his boyhood club and i can't imagine him leaving for anyone, especially when any club he moved to would be a step down anyway unless he joined Barca.. and i cant see that happening.
