Mark Robins

No, he isnt going to be Daves replacement. Im just mentioning him because I decided to take a little trip to the Ricoh Arena tonight (I live 10mins away from it) to see Coventry City play the mighty Blunts.

First off, haha, can you ever get bored of seeing a piggy penalty shoot out? no way! Its just brilliant seeing the trademark 'smash it into orbit Simmo style' pen, and Piggy Ryan Flynny fully delivered that tonight.

Anyway, jokes aside, Coventry have had a hard time adjusting to League One and havent had the best of starts. Actually, it was absolutely terrible. But heres what they did, they sacked their rubbish, clueless manager and got a new one who knew his bumhole from his elbow. Since his appointment they have won 7, lost 4 and drawn 3 resulting in a rise to 15th from the bottom 4. They played some good stuff to tonight, nothing special but they worked hard, had a clear game plan and it was a solid team effort. They even managed to play with this thing called passion that we are all talking about. Not an easy accomplishment seen as this was a Tuesday night JPT cup game. In fact, it was better than anything I have seen at S6 in a while.

Im just sick of this 'sacking the manager doesnt work' because it does when the one you have is a clueless idiot. Listening to Dave Jones' excuses is more cringe worthy than the interview process in The Apprentice.

We have a team crying out for a manager to pump some adrenaline into them, we just need someone who can do it.

Sack the clown now MM, it does work. Isnt that the reason you sacked the last manager?

Here here Shibs.

My concern is that who there out there, and available, that can improve things? The list isnt great, theres Curbishly who I rate but he has been out the game for a good 3-4 years and the game has moved on a lot. Dont know people will disagree but I would give DJ the chop (if we lose to the Brizzies), appoint Bullen as caretaker, give him 3-4 games and if he does well give him a deal till the end of the season and if we continue to win games then given him an improved contract, im sure that he would do well for us and has the club at heart and couldnt take no carp either!

Regardless of whether be win on sat or not DJ should be sacked anyway.

We need to stop looking at the unemployment line if we are seriously thinking of a return to the big league any time soon we need to go and get the manager required.

Sack the idiot and get Di Canio! The attendance increases for a Wednesday lead by that nutter will pay for DJ's lay off

I would go with that Polite but i don't think MM & Di Canio would get along two very strong personalitites.

Why would Di Canio come? He doesn't have any particular love for us, does he? Anyway, he's a dic khead and we don't need him at Wednesday.

At least if we had J.O.C..back as Coach..

..then shouting ' JOC out ' six times on the trot, would sound like that yer vomiting

Would steer clear of Di canio, I'd like a manager who doesn't think he's bigger than the club

How about Kenny Jackett always seems to do a good job (given time) I'd like to think he is a realistic option too, he could always bring Beevers back as well

I agree Izzy, but unfortunately hes a di ck head that gets results and a team to play like crazy for him.

Why would he come to wednesday??? Hes the manager of Swindon Town ffs! No disrespect, but I think any manager who is the manager of Swindon town would jump at the chance to manager Wednesday.

Im so bored of old, play like they did in the 70's managers. I want a young, energetic manager who knows the game as its played now and for me Di canio fits the bill.

And dont you dare say "hes not proven at this level". Most overused, ridiculous statement in football

But he's not proven at this level!!?

He's not proven at this level and he is mad.

There ya go Poite.

It's the mad bit that puts me off rather than the totally unproven at this level bit. Add to that the volatile relationship with players bit together with the fascist bit and the fact that most people don't want to see that incredible sulk back at Hillsborough bit, makes him totally unsuitable...

...he'll be manager by Monday...
