The mysterious case of Valencia

What has happened to him? The last couple of seasons he's been a great player for us.

He picked out crosses rather than putting his head down and smashing it has hard as he can.

He ran at defenders with lightning speed rather than stop dead the minute he's confronted by one.

He had great interlinking play rather than get the ball and do a silly little jig until the defender comes and takes it off him.

What has happened to him?
With the positions he gets in, he should be doing a lot more with the ball.

He will come back...proven is he not...just a matter of time.

I have heard he has been nursing an hip injury.
But my question is that if he is injured then why is if even playing?

Perhaps a case of " Carrick is cack ! " or " Wtf is it with Ando ? " - maybe AV is just this months choice.
I know I have long term confidence in him

The last couple of games have been slightly better from him, but still not his best. Perhaps he is simply going through a lean spell and will come good towards the end of the season. The problem is he use to be solid and consistent at a high quality level, now his level has dropped a notch or 2.

He is injured, and has been on painkillers for a while.

That was what I heard as well but the last mention of it was back in November

I agree he hasn't been up to his usual standards, however yesterday he put in at least 5 brilliant crosses without even having to take on his man, if Rooney, RVP or Hernandez were in the box, he would have had a field day for assists
