Sergio Kun Aguero has arrived in Manchester for a medical and to finalize his move to Manchester City after Athletico Madrid agreed Manchester City's fee of £38m for Aguero. This has been announced on SSN on their breaking news and SSN have live pictures of Aguero in Manchester.
What do City fans think of this move? I really wanted Sergio Aguero at Chelsea because he is a great player and so that Aguero would partner Torres again, gutted.

Well it depends which way you want to look at it.
We currently have Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli, Adebyaor, Bellamy and RSC.
The last 3 are certainly leaving and Tevez wants to leave. Who knows whats going on with balotelli right now
Do we
1. Sell the players first running the risk of potential targets joining different clubs leaving us with a possibility of only 2 strikers at the club.
2. Buy who we want first and then make a bigger effort to offload unwanted players. We may end upw ith 4/5 strikers come September 1st but its better than the other end of the scale where we would have too few.
Its easy to look at it from which ever perspective you want.

ManCitizens. David Bernstein he does what he wants
Fair enough...I understand where you're coming from.
Let me ask you this question....do you think if AVB inherited your squad, that he'll be looking to add more players?
I know it's a tough question to answer, but I doubt he would.
Another question is this...do you think City are done with buying players in this transfer window?
I also doubt that.
The simple fact is that City like buying any potential, or already made big name player.
I can guarantee you that, you guys would still buy another player, who may not be needed at the Club.
Man City are like Real Madrid of the EPL.

I don't see your point. City can buy who they want, who are we or anyone else to say if their squad is good enough or not. Mancini needed to buy another striker and he needs to address both midfield positions as well as sign a creative midfielder IMO and I am sure City fans and Mancini would agree.
City buying these players is only better for the PL, not so long ago we did the same thing and were overloaded with midfielders some of whom we had to let go.

Yeah, but we have the habit of buying players that are needed, not luxury players, and that's the difference.
City do not buy players needed, they buy luxury players.
Is it surprising that they have players who always moan?
How many times have you heard a player moan or throw a tantrum @ Chelsea?

Abramovich bought a club that finished 4th. We have had to buy players to make us a top 6 side, then more players to get into the top 4. Now we are there we are buying players to hopefully win the CL.
The players moaning Ade, Bellamy, Given, bridge etc were all deemed surplus to requirements. They helped us reach an extra level but were then not good (or prolific) enough to take us further.
Im sure you will see a different approach in the next few seasons once we have a settled squad.

But that's subjective, City fans could argue we don't need Lukaku, Romeu, Courtois or Pastore/Modric. We watch Chelsea week in week out and therefore know the strengths and weaknesses of our squad, as City fans do with their team.
Balotelli is a brilliant player but he is like Jekyll and Hyde, if you want to compete at the highest level you can't rely on such temperamental players like that. Bellamy is too old and not good enough, same with Santa Cruz. Tevez won't be a City player in 12 months (probably even 12 weeks) so it is important they buy another striker.
I can't think of one player City have bought in the last 12 months that they haven't needed. At first they were doing it experimentally but they have needed all these players.
Players are players, they are happy when they are playing, unhappy when they aren't.
Drogba threw a tantrum on the last day of 09/10 when he wasn't able to take the first penalty. Torres didn't look best pleased when he was subbed vs Liverpool.
The team spirit is much better at Chelsea because we had a good man manager in Mourinho to mould the players. I blame the tantrums and fighting at City due to the sort of players they have signed. I really like Balotelli but he doesn't always strike me as someone that puts the team first, same with a lot of City players.
I don't particular rate Mancini is a manager and I put the tantrums down to his mis-management. It can't be that easy when you have a manager that is only willing to communicate with 16 of the players in a squad of 30+.

Agree with ManCitizens on this.
City were starting from much further back than Chelsea so it stands to reason that they have had more ins and outs than Chelsea had. Plus the introduction of the 25 man squad rule means you are much more likely to have a higher % of unhappy players. Those that don't make the squad may as well go out on the lash every weekend, providing they turn up to training and manage their weight, they are still getting somewhere close to £100k a week.
