PS Vita--Worth it?

So....A mate of mine bought a PS Vita for his kid for Christmas and from what I have seen of it I'm pretty impressed. I am thinking about buying one myself and want to see what anyone else on here thinks. Heres what I have come up with so far:

Good points

Graphics are really good

Controller layout is something that takes no time in getting used to and the touch abilities dont seem as awkward to use or as tacked on/ gimmicky as they do on most of the DS games

It tries to push the idea of playing against people local to you with a few features that find nearby players and show what they are playing

Unlike the failed attempts to market the PSP Go, Sony seem to be trying to get people into using/ buying a Vita by selling a number of games using the CrossPlay feature (Anyone buying the game for the PS3 also gets the same game to download to the Vita).

Playstation Plus is a must as they have a few games for free at the moment that are worth downloading.

Bad Points

Cost of it will put off a few people who use their smartphones for gaming already (I am one of those people and have sat back until now)

You need to buy the largest memory card- the kids 8GB Memory card he had was already full when I went to see him on Boxing Day (He had downloaded Mortal Kombat and Unchartered on it though)

Still a lack of a decent sized game library- yep its early doors but still there only seems to be a handful of games worth owning. Fifa 13 looked like the original FIFA for the same system and Black Ops Declassified was a bit of a ripoff as the networking is woeful if you have a router that has any form of security on it (The other games I played that used the internet for multiplayer worked fine).

Anyone else have one themselves or thinking about buying one?

Great bit of hardware - the best handheld system ever made

No games, i would hold out a little longer for more games to become available. Only really Uncharted is worth it with a few other titles but nothing else really jumps out. FIFA is ok, Wipe Out is pretty good, AC:Liberation apparently isnt bad. To be honest i have spent more time playing PSP classics................again it is a brilliant piece of hardware but not quite there game wise. Some nice integration with the PS3 which is just getting there also (see cross controller)

Ah yeh FIFA 13 was crucified for being exactly the same as FIFA (the orignal vita version) with just the updated player rosters.

If you're used to a 50 inch plasma like me you will find it hard getting into it on those tiny screens!

Yeh but when you realise you 55" plasma doesnt fit in the car or really pi$$es the guy off next to you on the train you will easily get into the smaller screen :P
