If you want to compare Szalai to any top player it would be van Nistelrooy.

Good in the box and has a good header on him but is not technically gifted. Doubt he would fit into your type of play and there is a reason he plays for Mainz 05 and was at his best when he had Holtby and Schürrle around him, who have since left the club.

I've been watching the Bundesliga highlights on ITV (highly recommend it too) and I've seen a little bit of Adam Szalai.

He's alright. Just a run-of-the-mill striker. Not sure what the fuss is about.
