The Cop-Outs Are In

In the red corner: Liverpool fans, who have pre-empted the prospective abuse accompanying a defeat on Sunday with references to Howard Webb being a United fan.

In the blue corner: United fans, who have plumped for the "It's a cup final for you, just a game for us" schtick, giving them licence to do some serious gloating if United win, whilst offering a quick route onto their high horse should Liverpool win and their fans attempt that same gloating.

Ladies and gentlemen, those are the cop-outs brought to you by Barclays for this Live Ford Super Sunday clash!

[Mills Lane voice]

"LET'S GET IT ON!"

[sigh]

Does anyone remember when you were younger, and it was just a case of hoping your team won? If they did, you went to town on your friends, if they lost, you sighed, shrugged your shoulders and took all the guff that came your way. No cop-outs, no two-week-long elaborate dances where both sides explain why if the other team won, they couldn't dish out any slagging because of Cop-Out X or Cop-Out Y.

Simpler times my friends, simpler times.

I blame the Internet. Damn you World Wide Howard Webb.

Imagine if the Xabinator came back... They keep showing the interview he did with LFCtv when he left as well, it's heartbreaking.

I also find it difficult not to burst into tears at the sight of Jason Bateman since Xab left.

Don't even mention Xabi and that ice bothering ponce in the same sentence again.

I just googled him because i didnt know who the feck he is. Does look like him a lot though.

There is a lot of love for Xabi and that's something LFC fans have more than most i think. Popular players continue to almost be treated the same years after they have left. Xabi, Biscan, Kuyt, Hamann (on twitter) and many others.

Work is like a mine field before or after liv-man u games. Certain fans you can talk to on the level, but all it takes is somebody saying something the opposite fans dont agree with thenBOOOOM it all kicks off. The slgging the singing , can be a hostile atmosphere when we loose, but its all part of the banter. So come on lads, win this one and work on a Monday want be as bad as normal. Loose then its going to be a long long week. YNWA
