Hooper to Norwich?

Really?

Is this the height of Gary's ambition? No harm to Norwich but you would think that if the lad wants to play in the Premier league then finishing the CL season with us, and proving to score goals at that highest level, should give him the ability to get a top half EPL team....

Plus if this is the case (and yes I know its Talksport) I hope Norwich have very deep pockets....

Hooper is a top striker no doubt about it. If he is refusing to sign a contract then he obvioulsy doesnt want to be here and I would let him go. I know people keep saying why would he want to go to Norwich as he wont win anything there. But there he has a better chance of making the England squad and people will take his skill more seriously than playing up here, regardless of the CL. Look at Thomo, he was the greatest player England never had. Also Football player is a very short career and he will want to make sure he is set for the rest of his life. If you have ever heard him speak you know he isnt gonna be a rocket surgeon. I say fair play to him. Ill be gutted to see him go but from playing non league footy a few years ago to playing in the CL and almost getting a shot at playing for England. He has done well and deserves a big money move. No sour grapes here.

He is class, ok he hasnt scored as many this season as before in the league, thats as he has set such high standards and to be honest as you know the team itself isnt turning it on in the league as they know they dont have to with the absence of rangers

Isn't the supposed marker for a good Celtic striker, 20 goals a season?
---------------------------
Twenty league goals is decent for a Celtic striker, but that was also when the SPL was better. Niall McGinn has scored 14 SPL goals already this season ffs, if Hooper can't that points to a lack of desire in my opinion. Unless you think McGinn is a better player?

It's not only Hooper, I agree there. Most of the team has an attitude problem. We only have 2 or 3 players that give 100% every game.

thats up there with Murneys Stokes is better than Hooper shout

Stokes scores as many goals to games and does much more outside the 6 yard box.

at my opinion again and I'll be seeing you outside right now

Are we not keeping tabs on Luciano Becchio?
Very good replacement if Hooper decides to go.

Lucian O'Becchio would be a great signing

The SPL is a stepping stone to the PL for lower league players like Hooper.
