Sauces are pretty sketchy so it may well be significantly higher but if he really has a £20m buyout clause in his contract then we should bid.
I know there's areas we need strengthening more than attacking mid but he is genuine quality and for the price is an absolute bargain, it's whether he'd fancy moving to Arsenal that's doubtful.
If Isco really has a £20m buyout clause...

I honestly don't think Wilshere is overrated, what sets him apart is his attitude because he's such a leader even at 21.

Hughes is rated at 7m so it isn't really the same, plus Hughes could actually become a physical presence he is 6 foot 1 at 17 there is a chance of him growing a few extra inches.
If we were to make a record signing this window it would have to either be a striker or DM.
Or we could just continue getting over run in midfield due to a lack of strength.

I agree about his leadership and work ethic, but I do think he gets overrated because he's a technical English player in an average Arsenal side. Think he'll go on to become a fantastic player but people do talk about him like he's already one of the best. Would love him at United. Exactly what we need.

Physical presence? He's supposed to be a playmaker, right?
What does his height have to do with that?
We need more creativity/quality.

Height gives an advantage aerially it helps control the game in midfield and would help attacking and defending from set pieces.

Height doen't help control the game in the midfield. The only real advantage you gain is when the ball is in the air.

and when the ball is bobbling around in the air in midfield... as well as height making you effectively heavier therefore harder for players to knock off the ball or easier to knock people off the ball.

we are not getting isco or anyone for that matter

Isco can do better than Arsenal at this point of his career and i don't think Malaga would let another player go on the cheap again to Arsenal.
Besides, i suspect his advisers in concert with Malaga representatives are working frantically behind the scenes to negotiate a more significant buy-out clause

I agree TRC
However there's no harm in Arsenal matching the release fee and finding out for certain he wouldn't fancy a move to us.
