20th in the Championship !!!

Some weeks ago I tried to bring to the attention to the BWFC fans that I was nervous about our league position and that these numpties keep going on about an outside chance of making the play offs were driving me absolutely mental and asking for some re assurances from fellow whites.

I was also critical of the 9 players we should have got rid off well 3 have gone and the remainder Ricketts, Knight ( vice cap ),Ream, Andrews, Ngog and Mears are still with us. I was told to get real and get a reality check.

Look back at this comment in December 2012 in response .

' looking at the league, and I haven't seen every single team play this season, it's hard for me to name three specific teams I think will be below us this season, but personally, I think there will be far more than three teams finish beneath us'

'Just for fun, if you'd like me to name three teams though, and lets check these at the end of the season, I will go for Barnsley, Bristol City and Ipswich.'

'I don't say we will never get relegated, but I am a betting man, and I wouldn't bet on us to go down even if you offered me 100/1 against it, I wouldn't give you a fiver. Absolutely no way will it happen'.

Think its about 33/1 now ? Still confident ?

Well is that the Bristol City who recently beat top of the table Watford 2-0 or Barnsley who beat Blackpool at their place today and also beat Milwall 2-0 or Ipswich who have today turned over The Boro 4-0 or we can talk about Sheff Weds if you want ?

The bottom line is that all these teams are devoid of so called 'premiership' players or stars !! No big time Charlies just average footballers with a purpose and fight and will probably be ok.

Well here we are sometimes playing better football and hopefully good signings yet in the serious s---e even more and some tough games coming up I am seriously worried sick.

I am pleased with some of the DF signings however I am deeply worried about his inability to wake up and sense the dangers and stop constantly playing the weak links ie Knight, Ricketts, Mears, Andrews , Eagles, NGog now !!! Get bloody rid once and for all and replace them immediately otherwise we are down and all this talk about a real effort for promotion next year will be immaterial.

Mind you in League 1 Knight and the rest will have finally found their comfort zone at our expense.

Just to finish of and to show how completely disillusioned our manager is read the following article from last year.

'Freedman says in the programme for tomorrow's game that his target is to be in the top half of the table at the end of January. Not only is this an achievable target and a realistic target, it is one I firmly believe will be achieved. See you on the 31st January.' ?????

Not only not achieved but I suppose it goes into the bin with the Gartside comment of 2 points a game target for this year !!!

The poem actually suggests that things may be impossible, but the motto is that that doesn't mean that one shouldn't try.
=========================================

That doesn't make any sense.

If something is by definition impossible to achieve, then surely it's pointless trying to do it?

How do you know it's impossible then?

I think you should send that poem to the club TRR, and DF can put it up on the dressing room wall.

That's for us to decide, not you.

Everyone's a critic now, eh?

I'll have you know that I'm a published author, me.

I've had at least two letters in the Evening News and I once wrote a piece for the Delph Hill Scouts (46th Bolton) newsletter about the wildlife in and around Doffcocker Lodge.

So go and chew on that, Mr Critic.....

Afobe & Petrov, who was the third playern to leave.

Afobe wasn't our player, just loaned.

In reality we only got rid of one of our players. Looks like DF didn't agree withn you and when I counted the players you wanted toi get rid of, I'm sure I counted twelve in total.

SW, just regarding the last bit of your post. Medo hasn't kicked a ball in anger for two months and we all know Holden and M Davies are returning from injury so you're not going to see those three all starting together any time soon.

Large

I agree that it is likely SH will come on from the bench purely safety first my preference would be to start him and take him off after 60 mins or hopefully whenever we had a 2 goal cushion to build on. I definitely expect both Medo and Mavies to start along with Spearing, CYL and Vela (if not SH) and have Pratley and Gregus on standby. With Stu and Mavies giving Sordell the right service he will score the goals We have to win this game tomorrow !!!
