Tottenham did agree a deal to sign Leandro Damiao on transfer deadline day, but it collapsed when Internacional changed the terms of his move at the last minute.
The deal ran into difficulties on the afternoon of 31 January when Internacional included a fresh demand for Damiao to remain with them for a further 6 months.
And I thought we had a "special relationship" with them!
Tottenham are unlikely to resurrect the move in the summer.

Hmm, if this is true its ridiculous.
Think we should give up with this guy, its not happening.
It's never going to be our Damiao day.

"Hmmm, one or two of our number might owe Danny boy an apology"
Still to be confirmed.
Playing hardball on the price as we are desperate for NEW STRIKER : fair enough. That + asking for a summer release when the desperation is cos Spurs need him yesterday : of the highest order.

Time to start looking at another striker..Dealing with Inter seems to be a waste of time.

I think a plan B would have been a wise move but some of the comments I've read on here over the last few days about Levy when its largely down to his efforts that we manage to compete with clubs that have vastly greater budgets have been completely

There probably was a Plan B, but if it all fell apart on the last few hours of the 31st, then Plan B would have been well and truely knackered as well
