Tottenham are unlikely to resurrect the move in the summer.

When I heard this statement I thought it sounded like we are pi55ed off with dealing with them!

Maybe it would have been in both clubs interests to try and get a deal done BEFORE JANUARY 31ST!!!!

"I still think he'll sign personally."

Without CL piggie trough in the summer, doubt it.
And that goes for anyone else like him with similar actual/potential ability.

Of course, no CL could mean Bale gone and the Levy tax on him will enable many here to say who they want the money spent on.

I so hope we do not sign Damaio, every spurs fan knows that a player of his value (monetary) will only be purchased once, we are highly unlikely to spend £20m+ on more then one player, Damaio has done Sweet fa to justify that price tag, he is very overated, i said at the start if the window that i don't want him and nothings changed, Damaio has an average scoring record in a poor Brazilian league

These guys are such cants

All the nonesense about h wants to remain in Brazil until after the worldcup for me speaks volumes, please don't believe that the Brazil manager will only select him if he plays there, what about the brazilians including our Sandro that get noticed and picked on merit? I personally think that Damaio knows he isn't even ripping up a poor league, if he comes here and struggles (or just proves that he is not better then average) he will not get selected, look at his record in brazil and then ask yourself is he worth the figures? He knows the best chance he has is to score a few goals to get into the Brazil sqaud and i haver the feeling he knows he may struggle out side of Brazil All my opinion.

Internacional are betting that he has a stormer in Brasil 2014.
In which case they are laughing.
If they are wrong, the Spurs offer may be the best they get.

Spurs OTOH probably cannot, and will not, pay those sums upfront for an untried player, regardless of the potential in that player.

Still think Adebayor going to AFCON has been the root cause of this bid, and it wouldn't have happened otherwise.

RDBD i agree about the bid linked to Ade's decision, if he was proven i think Levy would have tried harder, i don't know who suggested him to the club anyway, AVB wasn't even here 3 years back.

We need another NEW STRIKER

posted on 5/2/13

Oh, you can bet Internacional made Spurs 'aware' of the player via their "relationship" .

It's basically Deal Or No Deal the way they're gambling on his success. I hope the little çunts end up with 50p and smile from Noel.

RDBD..........apparently it was Internacional who contacted Spurs in late January to resurrect the deal.

"apparently it was Internacional who contacted Spurs in late January to resurrect the deal."

Again, without some definitive sources I am skeptical on this.
But if they did act on Spurs apparent plight, they have royally effed it up now.

fridge :

You can understand it though.
Also Chelsky paying what they did for Oscar probably hasn't helped much.

The deal ran into difficulties on the afternoon of 31 January when Internacional included a fresh demand for Damiao to remain with them for a further 6 months.

bar stewards !

apologies Mr L

Looks like we thought we had a striker secured then they royally fcked us up.

Hmm, if this is true its ridiculous.
Think we should give up with this guy, its not happening.

It's never going to be our Damiao day.

Hmmm, one or two of our number might owe Danny boy an apology

"Hmmm, one or two of our number might owe Danny boy an apology"

Still to be confirmed.

Playing hardball on the price as we are desperate for NEW STRIKER : fair enough. That + asking for a summer release when the desperation is cos Spurs need him yesterday : of the highest order.
