Tactics against Real Madrid?

Would like to hear all our tactics to use against Real Madrid, been thinking of some myself and here it is:

First off I will start with Ronaldo: Personally I reckon Valencia will start in the first leg especially where our tactics will be alot more defensive minded,no doubt. Valencia brings more to the table in terms of defending and we will need him to prevent Ronaldo any space with Rafael. I reckon we will go with the same tactic that we used for Bale but this time with a wide midfielder.

Cleverley or Anderson may also have a huge job in coming wide to pressurize Ronni and show him the wing and only the wing like we did with Bale. Rooney's job in the game is also important, something even I think Kagawa may not be able to due to his poor defensive skills, he would have to deny the likes of Alonso and Modric space as well as dropping into the pocket forcing one of their CDM's to be forced back to pick him up.

This then allows space for our wingers as one of their full backs will have to come infield to cover for the CDM, if they don't then Carrick will then have even more space to pick out a decisive pass for our attacking players on the counter such as van Persie.

Kagawa may also be important for the clash on the counter playing as a LAM, the most likely of full backs in which will have to pull infield will be Arbeloa as he will be the only full back that is not being pegged back by two wingbacks like Valencia and Rafa would against Marcelo meaning he would venture forward and out of position more, so he will have to exploit the space left by him on the counter.

He will also be handy coming infield and helping the CM's and his job would be picking up Ozil or Modric when our two CM's are forced deep or when Cleverley is drifting and picking up Ronaldo if and when he begins getting frustrated and drifting indfield.

Valencia brings more to the table in terms of defending
------------------------
No he doesn't. Nani is far more aware of his defensive duties than Tony.
Anyways the only way we are going to get anything at the Bernebaeu is by going 4-5-1 with a defensive set up with RVP up top and counter-attacking football. Madrid will definitely press higher up the pitch and their biggest threat will come from the left side with CR7 and either of Marcelo and Coentrao. I would play Wayne at the right who would help out Rafael against their dual threat.
I don't expect Arbeloa to get forward that much and if Di Maria starts on the right who is well aware of his defensive duties their right side would be well protected. However the biggest thing would be to stop Alonso spraying his balls all throughout the pitch. Cleverley did a decent job on Toure first half in the derby and the tactics should be to stifle Alonso as he is their heartbeat.
Carrick as usual will have a herculean task of stopping Ozil playing his trademark accurate through balls as well as checking Khedira's runs from CM.

this might be a bit naive lol, but i would go attack attack attack.

let them worry about you not the other way round, let them play and they have players who will murder you, put them on the back foot and i reckon they will struggle.

If Sir Alex has learnt anything from playing in Europe especially away is that we need to play 4-5-1. Our midfield will no doubt get over run and outclassed by Real Madrid.

It's been a while since we've played 4-4-2 attack away in Europe so I'm going for:

--------------------De Gea
---Rafael------Rio------Vidic------Evra
-------------------Jones
------------Carrick--Cleverley
Nani-------------------------------Rooney
--------------------RVP

Of course, I'd like to see:

------------De Gea
Rafael--Rio--Vidic--Evra
------Carrick--Cleverley
Nani------Kagawa----Rooney
------------RVP

He doesn't, that's a common misconception. Surely the big, powerful beast who has no technical ability is better at defending than the skinny little Portuguese kid?

Only thing we get by playing Valencia is better defending from set-pieces.

Nani is ripped by the way, he ain't skinny At all
