Scott Parker

It pains me to say it, but after last night I just feel Scott Parkers days are numbered. I'm not really sure what happened, but his injury seems to have been the beginning of the end. The man has been a legend for us over the past season or so, but recently, he just seems slow and ponderous on the ball, too many passes go astray and his tackling which in the past has been always timed to perfection seemed yet again to go out of the window last night. I just don't think his rash tackle which led to the penalty would have happened in previous seasons. I'm not sure what the answer is, obviously we have a ready made replacement in Sandro, but until he comes back, do we:
(a) carry on with Scott Parker and hope he regains his form
(b) trust Jake Livermore to step up
(c) make Dembele play the holding role
(d) something else

I think Parker does a lot of the work other players don`t want to do, he works his socks off, and all teams need a Parker in their ranks. OK, he is not getting any younger, but he is still doing his bit for the team.

To many times in the first half palyers were not helping the player with the ball, to much standing still but second half players all wanted the ball

Parker definitely does the jobs others don't want to....

None of them want to perform useless pirouettes

None of them want to take 3 or 4 touches when 1 or 2 will do.

None of them want to look like a 60s Borstal boy.

None of them want to be ponderous on the ball.

"None of them want to look like a 60s Borstal boy."

Nolan and his haircut were obviously not up to it when the "Daddy" returned to Upton Park.

HRH :

When Scotty is on the pitch, they need to raise their barnet game. Or end up playing at Barnet.

What's the other one's name? Mark Noble!!! Typical little East London urchin. I like him as a player though
