Terrible Forboding

Millen is driving me nuts.

Every pathetic miserable interview gives me the creeps.
'We played well, fitness levels are good, no injuries BUT we lost and must learn from mistakes'.
We are just a few days from Ipswich and still not a defender in sight. All summer to sort it out and now he has just a few days. Wouldn't surprise me if in PANIC he gets a useless lump in this week.
And I can't comprehend why Cisse is not starting in front of our defence. Was Cisse not instrumental (with Caulker) in giving City a semblance of a defence last season ????
Caulker is now at Swansea and Cisse was in Frome yesterday.

Millen - One of us is wrong - it had better be me.

I would say a midfield of Cisse, Reid, Kilkenny is as good any in the CCC, with Marv as cover and Adomah, Woolford and JCR as link players, we have an adaptable and talented engine room.

We are crying out, and have been since 2009, for an outstanding defensive general to inherit the crown from Louis, to spread assurance through the defence and hence the whole team

Totally agree BRR - but so far he has eluded us. I would involve Louis in finding a successor - a sort of apprentice.

What we need is our own Caulker.
Not an easy ask though, but that could be enough to get us in shape for a go at it

R&W - Think you're fixated with Junior
'he hardly plays little J'
Only one man has ever employed Junior. Or ever will.

To think dear old Redside and a few more, you included, who doubted nepotism as why Junior was ever selected.
The club have been absolutely inundated with offers for Junior following your recommendations Sorry R&W.

Look at Sextone's interview on Player - he's lamenting the fact he can't get rid of players on contracts. He said it would be good for the club if they would just 'move on'.
But thanks but no thanks from Junior.
Good old Dad and the fat EXTENDED contract !!!

Gary - By the way how's Uncle Pete. See you have employed him again (is that the 4th or 5th time?) after you were both sacked at Posh. Not exactly sure who you've employed the most, know for sure you took Junior to Watford (never played), got him a loan at Brighton(never played), Yeovil and Bristol City.
Nepotism ? - Of course not.

CM, nepotism or not, was NEVER the potition to focus on. Defence has been for 3 seasons - yet a certain CM seems to get all the press.

I agree some people are obsessed with him - they always have been.

Well RP dont u think Keith Millen Wigley & Collin Sexton deserve a bit of respect as for bringing in a lump of wood in a panic buy i think being able to bring Jordan Spence bk to Ashton Gate on a season long loan after just signing a 3 year extention with WestHam is a master move that not many managers could pull off. We havnt over spent we have brought bk a confident strong defender who gets on with everyone at the club & will deff give his all to the club whilst here. Even you have to take your hat off to Keith for this move...

Truth be told he's known for a long time that Spence was returning, hence why he left the No2 shirt vacant.
It wasn't Spence who saved us last season it was Caulker and still clowns on here think the likes of Nyatanga are up to the task.

Incidentally, we have to thank Twentyman for Caulker.

'a bit of respect'
As and when Millen gets a 'Caulker' why should I give respect.
He's not a Nurse or on the front line in Afghanistan.
He's a very lucky man doing a very well paid job, that's all.
And,as yet,the jury is still out for me.

The jury is still out....

All we have done is to re-sign on a loan a member of last years squad who finished 15th,the lowest since our return 4 years ago..

Quite right also,we have not replaced Caulker,a dominant member of our team last year..

As pleased as I am about Spence re-signing, I agree with RP it was Caulker that made the main difference last season for us.
IMHO the only way we won't struggle is if Louis can stay fit all season.

I really hope I am wrong.

'Got to hand it to Keith Millen & Steve Wigley they have so far made some great signings'
Stead,not bad.
Pitman - Can't get in the team.
Bolasie - Can't get in the team.
NK - Can't get in the team.
Ryan Taylor - Can't get in the team.
Woolford - Can't get in the team.

And Mikee, we're not talking loans here - even the best of them, Caulker, is thanks to Twentyman.

OH YES -
you really have 'Got to hand it to Keith Millen & Steve Wigley'
