I've liked what i've seen so far, his deft touches, direct dribbling and clever interlink play is what I feel United have lacked for a long time. However, I was starting to think maybe he's not the United style of play and that he was often on a different level to his team mates. This Saturday though we started to see players reacting to him on his wave length (especially Rooney after the break and Carrick). I'm still not convinced he'll be a permanent starter but really hope he can be.
What you guys think?
Kagawa: Will he be a success?

How many times have we had this conversation though? To an extent, injuries aside we had it with Anderson. There must be some kind of limit you can put on these scenarios. But saying that, Ronaldo looked very average in his first few seasons.
Valencia's had a bad 8 months but already (after his last few decent seasons) many are writing him off. Fickle!

I don't understand how you can compare the two players seasons...
nani has barely played at all, he's been stuck on the left the majority of times he has played or has only been involved in games with weak teams put out.
Valencia has played the majority of the season and has been rubbish and has nani has played fantantic for the last 120 minutes he's been on the pitch he bloody well deserves to start more but we keep seeing Valencia out there and nobody knows why

And as nani has played*

Greg Nani has started 10 games and appeared as a sub in 4. That's half the amount of PL games we've played, albeit he has featured more in the cups. We have won all but 2 of the games he hasn't featured in.
I don't think that Nani would have made a difference in the Cluj or Galatasaray losses to be honest.
So I don't get the problem. We've also scored bucket loads of goals in games without him.

That is true, all without an in form winger (apart from giggs).
just imagine if we had two proper wingers playing well this season....

In fact I think he was injured for both of those losses and also the Norwich loss. He wasn't even on the bench.
So the other 3 games we lost, he started.
The 2 PL games we drew (Swansea and Spurs), Nani was also unavailable. Valencia started one and was subbed after 60 mins and was on the bench on the other.
Actually quite interesting stats when you think about it although as I've said before, these losses/draws can't be solely put down to Toni V or Luis.

I agree with that Greg. Our wingers, all of them, simply aren't good enough for a club like United. All would be good backups but we need more quality. Remember the season when Ronaldo was firing them in to Rooney when he played up front? Or when RVN played for us. United have always been a club who score from fast breaks down the flanks! We seem to score loads down the middle these days although I'm glad we're back to also scoring from corners!

So. Nani cost us yet another loss! Lol I'm joking of course. Maybe my bad luck charm theory was right though?
Absolutely criminal decision.
