The pitch is knacked due to the carp weather we have had,,,, Undersoil heating does not help, Neither does too much water or lack of sunlight, I also think the Giants would hav been better off playing the whole of the other season at the Shay giving it more time to bed in,,, It simply had not bedded down enough when they came back from Fax,,,,,,,, Covering the newly relayed surface with boards for 48 hours for some event or other only 2 weks after it was installed will not have helped either,,,,,, Cant see anybody reccomending splattering ply boards all over new turf so soon after it is laid,,,, Only my opinion of course.
