Reid, Fortune, and Gera's contracts all up in the next few months. Given they are the wrong side of 30, would you offer them new ones? Reid has his obvious injury problems. I'd expect us to look for a right back in the summer as well. Nonetheless he seems a good character to have around the dressing room even if he only does play a few games a season.
Fortune- With another Lukaku loan looking unlikely, is it possible we will keep Fortune for another season? Letting him go probably means we will need two strikers in the summer and I dont think we have ££££ to go out spend £10m on a couple of new strikers.
Gera- Has he got a future here? This may be considered blasphemous amongst some of Zoltan worshipping fans but I'd move on. Aside from the odd wonder goal he hasn't really contributed that much.
What would you do with our experienced 'pros' and while you're here any potential names to replace Lukaku?

Just been announced that Steve Clarke won't extend the loan of Lukaku. Oh well. Whatever the striker situation, Fortuné and Rosenberg are not the answer. Long will be here next season and Odemwingie should be as well, and we'll need at least one more.

Think Odemwingie will go.
He doesn't want to be here and a good chunk of the fans don't want him here.
Think what happened in January is too much to back from for some.

I'd like to see Fortune's contract renewed, good squad player to have.

Reid: awesome pro as said above but expect us to buy fresh legs in that area. Could be kept to be a bench player.
Gera: One injury too many for me and although its sacrilege today it. I would release him. That said, a role as senior pro influencing the youth would be nice.
Lukaku: I am convinced he will be back. Roman has already said he is monitoring a European striker. If Lukaku knows what's best, then he'll opt for 1 more season with us

That should of course say 'sacrilige to say it' - referring to Gera. Why not edit feature?

Thing is, it's not up to him.

To a degree it is. If Chelsea buy a new striker and keep Torres and Ba, then he can request it and be firm on that.
I accept not literally his choice but he can push hard. He seems plugged in and focused on his career development (an example to many) and won't tolerate a backward step.

I'm sure Chelsea will feed him the whole...'you'll play a part this season' which will, in my opinion, keep him there.
Torres may be shipped out in my opinion leaving Lukaku and Ba as the back up strikers to, probably, Falcao.

Re Lukaku, the ever-dependable Sky Sports News (cough) quoted Stevie C yesterday as saying he wouldn't be taking Lukaku back for next season. Whether Steve's basing that on word he's had from Chelsea, it didn't say. But I too remain convinced that at least we will try and get him back here because he's happy with us and he will develop more quickly with us than by being in the thick of keeping the Chelsea subs' bench warm.
