Sky are reporting we have received a bid for Jerome.
It will be interesting to see how much we accept or refuse.

Fulham bid on Jerome
posted on 2/8/11
I think the way we move the ball around now and move forward as a unit, we could play Jerome up front alone.
AM liked his players to kick it long to CJ and the midfield to bust a gut to get near him while he tried to hold off the entire defence. (and CJ gets berated for not scoring)
In CH's 4-5-1 system we get the ball in defence and play wide bringing in the wingers to take the ball forward and the central midfield can easily keep up and link with the striker.
That's how I see it anyway. I just think selling Jerome would be a mistake.
In his defence, the way he has been treated by some fans I wouldn't be surprised if he has said he will never wear a Blue shirt again.
It depends on what type of man he is. Does he stay and prove himself or leave and prove the doubters wrong. Tough one.

Yam Yams, blue noses, what ever you want to be called, will be coming to Derby with Alex Mcleish and their blue army to spank the pants off the mighty Rams. We're really worried, you've come out of the Premiership, you've been buying all the best players, you've got no injuries and you're playing against a really young Derby side. So like you lot say, it should be an easy win for you shouldn't it!!.......
Oh sorry Alex Mcleish went to your arch rivals up the road didn't he, sorry I got that wrong!

Person from the Black country which is in the west midlands, very close to birmingham. The Black country dialect is very unique. Yam yam derives from 'you am' e.g 'yam coming with me ay ya?'
A couple of drug smoking munch seeking yam yam's in a car:

We all know Derby is a small insignificant suburb of Nottingham.
Obviously the schools are failing to do a proper job and educate the children unfortunate enough to be born in this little understood backwards area.
Wassa is a result of that neglect.
Trying to copy Nottm Forests glory years with Brian Clough (who had the foresight to get out of Derby for a much bigger club) by getting his son in...well, clutching at straws really.

I actually like Derby
I used to go drinking there once and a while.
Also i think their fans are top draw, because in the Prem they was shocking, they did have a go and never parked the bus but they was a club out of their debth getting thrashed week in week out with the poorest Prem season ever..
And guess what, the fans still turned up and sold out week in week out, say what you want but a lot of clubs fans would have started to not go.
Derby fans are like cockroaches, theres pretty much nothing you can do to kill them off.
If they was in worse situation as we are now they would still sell out over 30'000 every game

As far as a 4,51 well a 4,3,3 or 4,2,3,1 would work with Jerome provided the players are suited to support him.
I.e on the wings we need wingers who can attack the box players who are more like right and left forwards than a wide player.
Players in the mold of Beausajour, Redmond, or indeed Sinclair, Quincy, Kapo, Babel style players.
So it would in effect make a 4,3,3 like how Chelsea play with Malouda and Anelka on the flanks, if Chelsea played a more deeper flat midfield so Malouda and Anelka set up deeper and kept out wide then they would have much less effect.
Thats why players like Kapo and Sinclair was a luxury for us because they are only suited to playing a attacking side that played either a 4,3,3, or a 4,2,3,1

Banjo,
That's what I've been trying to say.
We never moved as a single unit under AM. It was for a better description hoofball. Not always, but mainly when we were protecting something like a draw.
In this system used by CH we could even see 4-2-4.
Imagine that, SIX players in the opponents half when we break from defence.
I can't wait.

Thats why we did well with Chucho and Jerome they pushed defenders back and allowed our midfield to get out of our own half more and attack the final 3rd, it gave us more time in our own half to pass the ball about more instead of hoof it because of pressure from other sides pressing us.
They way we played when West Ham was down to 10 men was the same as when we had Chucho and Jerome, as we was then able to press sides back.

I went to Derby yesterday, and am a regular visitor.
The town centre is still thriving despite the awesome Westfield centre that was put up a few years back. They bang on about the Westfield in London but the one in Derby was possibly the first in the country.
To anybody who's not been shopping in Derby, you must go at least once. There should be decent train links there or it'll be 45 mins in the car from Brum, straight up A38.
Just thought i'd put that out there

I'm sorry if I upset anyone who likes Derby or comes from Derby or even lives in Derby.
I have met Nigel Clough when I went to a Burton game about 10 years ago. A very polite bloke who, like his father had time for you.
I should have aimed my return wumming at Wassa only.
I do still say he is uneducated, lives in a backwards village and is probably related to a Dingle.
