Apologies for the late article following the weekend's events, I literally have just been too drunk/hungover/awestruck to be able to say anything.
Not only does the Wales/England game from my previous post sum up to be an all time scoreline between the bitter rivals, but the implications this will have on the Lions Squad selection for this years tour is phenominal.
I wont take too long on the subject as I dont mean to offend, but come on, who saw that coming? I was at said pub (from previous post) and enjoyed the beers on offer after the game where I proceeded into town after where I could do nothing but sing Hymns and Arias, and talk about nothing but the game, I am honestly over the moon about it, it was phe-effing-nominal!
In other news, France claiming the wooden spoon? I could never have called that earlier, I honestly thought it was Scotland's to claim this year (or Italy's), speaking of which, WOW! ITALY?! They are on the up or what?! Unbelievable show from an ever-improving squad on the international scene, they have bright days ahead of them, whatever they have been doing for the last year or two, they need to keep it up!
Now for the big one, now that teams have put their hands up where others have wallowed, we need to turn out attention to 2 years from now, the 2015 IRB Rugby World Cup! Here's my toplist to consider:
- England host, Twickenham for the final: Well, not more can be said but an English version of what the Welsh did this weekend, not a chance are England going to let anyone of any ability beat them in that stadium so I expect to see them there (as a Welsh fan, that hurt to say)
- New Zealand, the champions: How will they fair in this tournament, I dare say it, but I dont think too well, come 2015, they will be an ageing squad and I dont think they will still have it, where the likes of England and Wales will be maturing into graceful but merciless TEAMS, with the latter evolving on from the 2011 disappointment.
- The home nations, the likes of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England will hopefully have some massive performances seeing as this is like fighting someone from the next town, on your next door neighbours doorstep, you're still pretty much at home!
So with so much more to talk about, I figure I've bored you all enough already sorry haha, carry on the good debating here guys, and thanks for the responses on the first post.
Apologies

Hey Greg welcome back.
To answer your question I saw it coming. Not quite the margin but i tipped wales to win by 12 closer than anyone else here woo hoo.
That said. 2 year is a long time away mate.
Don't you remember just 7 and a bit weeks ago when wales lost to ireland in Cardiff! Sport is amazing, tings go up and down form rises and dips on the drop of a hat. Wales were on a massive losing streak before this monumental effort. England were on a high from beating the best team in the world and carried that form to the final when they ran into a brick wall.
This is the beauty and the cruelty of our sport and we have to take the highs and lows in equal measure.
As a neutral, i can say a big thank youto Wales and England for providing a thrilling day and fitting end to the competition.
And now we don't turn our attention to the WC but infact immediately to the Heineken Cup then the Lions then the Six Nations again next year and indeed the following year before we have a world cup to look forward to.
There is a hell of a lot of rugby to be played yet mate!
And long may it continue.!
P.S. Congratulations.

Hey Greg - congratulations on the win. I'm finding it incredibly hard to take and still haven;t been able to watch a repeat of the game as I'm worried about my stress levels.
Bring on the Heineken cup to take my mind off it!
