this Utd team are going to...

take our 95 points total record this term, with really what is an ordinary side it has to be said..

What Utd do have is excellent strength in depth, with virtually two conplete first teams, including interchangeable keepers so i'm not disrespecting what they're doing

case in point...
last England game...Cleverly Young Welbeck Rooney, smalling to name five will (if they stay in the England side & we qualifiy), get hidiously exposed as just ordinary in the 2014 World Cup

Others like Valencia don't exactly set the world alight either...& yet - they've run away with it this term

you may wish to voice an opinion on why

Good morning to you all

Too many players like the coward Nasri and Mancini has been found wanting tactically time & again

That is true, you were very open at the start of the season, correctly put in my place

Recently you remind alot of that period we had under Mourinho where we were just beginning to translate the solid defensive shut outs into narrow wins before the mid season explosion pulled us away from Arsenal (the period where we racked up the 3-0s, 4-0s).

Yeh but look at the quality of football in England this year speaks for itself. No british team even got close to CL this year.

"No british team even got close to CL this year."

Man Utd exited due to one pivotal decision, in a game they were well in control of. The G00ns did their standard appearance gigs. The Sugga Daddy FCs embarrassed the PL.

Our success is largely down to great squad management but let's give the players some credit.

Vidic - still an utter rock and was sorely missed last season.
Evans - 25 years old but looks like he has the experience of a 35 year old. Brilliant reader of the game.
Rio - still a brilliant player.
Carrick - hugely underrated and probably the best midfielder in England this season.
Van Persie - superb return in his first United season, scoring vital goals.
Rooney - still capably of making us tick.
Cleverley -developed into a very solid midfielder.
Rafael - probably the best right back in the league and can't name many better at his age in the world.
De Gea and Evra good too.

Let's not forget that while everyone fawns over Madrid, Barca and Bayern as the best three teams in Europe we deserved to beat Madrid over two legs.

Its just an excuse, Man U should have won that game even with 10 men they were winning when Nani was sent off and i would expect this Man U team with the quality they have to see out the game. Obviously the red card made it hard but come on Chelsea won from being behind at the Nou Camp with 10 men

I think we've just adopted Mourinho's 03/04 team mentality which is, 'Get the points'. We turn out professional performances. It's true that we haven't exactly dazzled anyone this season at all, but that does not mean we are a team that's performed above it's capabilities.

We have virtually two teams and nobody really has gone and shown any resentment about it. Everyone knows they will get their chance.

I think squad depth is the key to winning the league now. Chelsea are a fantastic team and that's why I remember them running away with it at the start, but as soon as the games come thicker and faster, they falter dramatically.

"Its just an excuse"

Not really.
Man Utd acquitted themselves (and the PL in part) well enough in the CL this season. The others should be doing some SERIOUS navel-gazing.

If you replayed that game, it wouldn't have worked out exactly the same again. Messi hit the bar from a penalty, and I can't exactly remember but I'm sure he hit the bar again. All the luck you were due in the C.L, all came at the same time.

I am sure 1-0 up at home even SAF would have expected the team to close the game out. It just bugs me a little when people say that Man U were superior in that game over two legs, you had such a defensive set up in both games That you only scored twice once from a set piece (classic spanish teams are awful at that) and an own goal.
