Or maybe you are just underating us.
I highly doubt the record will be broken, once United win the title I can't see them being motivated to put 100% in all their remaining games.
maybe I am lest....but what about the last England game...you can't tell me you were impressed..
I'm slightly reminded of our England sides of 70/80's with mainly Liverpool players - that failed too
I predicted United to get 94 but i had them down to lose yesterday so i've got them on 97 now
No I wasn't however it wasn't just the united players. The likes of welbeck, smalling and young aren't even first team players. individually we may not have the greatest players but working as a team we are as good as their have been in the prem era. And end of the day it is a team game
have these players got that much better since last term..?
Last term we lost the league on GD in the last minute to a very good city side when in all seriousness we threw it away.
Since then we have added Kagawa who I think will be a very good player next season and RVP who is world class. Vidic has comeback as don't forget he was out for pretty much all of last season. I think other fans very much underate this united side.
Management of resources by SAF is the only reason. The players have relative stability, a clear understanding of what's expected of them.
I do also firmly believe that refs, other teams and managers give them too much respect as well.
Simples.
The players benefit from a tryed and tested management , alot of experience combined with a system which has been proven.
The club has an ethos and standards which each and ever player knows what is expected.
The club is run by owners who have no desire to involve in the day to day aspects of running the team and have uniquely in place a manager who knows what he is doing.
Team spirit + average players can go along way, particularly when you look at the frailties in the opposition.
team work, depth and never say die attitude have got this side where it is and full credit it proves that having star names or the 'best' quality isn't the end all and be all.
The perfomances having been all that inspiring but well done on the results. Deserved.
*haven't* been all that inspiring
Not a spectacular squad no but we probably underrate players like RVP and Rooney because we're so used to them, they're not the new exciting kids on the block. Rooney can be pssss poor but still has quality and turns it on.
The defence is well drilled, carrick has had a good year and united have the depth in wide attacking areas in Valencia, Nani and go to call upon and rotate. Hernandez and Welbeck, neither amazing but they do perform for united and both off something different.
Ferdinand and Vidic are still class and anyone who comes in at the back seems to slot in well. Keepers united have cover which is key.
Where I am surprised is in the middle where they seem to lack quality but I think with all the quality wide that can cut inside and upfront which can drop deep United can then allow Carrick or who ever to sit a bit more, similar to Arsenal a decade or so ago when they had Vieira and Petit. Overmars and Parlour from wide and Berkamp dropped then the base in the mid allowed them to play and could also join when right. Add the pace of Anelka or now RVP and it makes for a potent team.
But yes credit needs to go to Fergie for getting the team playing greater than the sum of its parts.
RVP was inspired I have to say...even though he's tailed off recently
A result of complete lack of ambition from the goonz it has to be said though

Please don't start banging on about refs. Yeah we have been lucky in certain games however also unlucky in certain ones such as both spurs game where ref was poor.
Phoenix summed it up very well, good to see a neutral praise Carrick too. He's been a machine for us the past few years
Carrick's having his best season ever by a mile.
The difference between Utd and the pretenders in blue is that City & Chelsea are a team that can be outfought & outbattled, too many prima donnas just not up for it whereas Utd don't ever cave in like we both do.
Southampton away is a case in point,we both downed tools while Utd nicked a win there
Although RVP had made the headlines for much of the year,it's the team spirit & belief that's won them the league for me
Baastards
I live in hope that they'll trip themselves up at some stage, maybe after they confirm the title. The fact that this United side could potentially overhaul our 04/05 side just doesn't compute in my brain. This truly will be the living demonstration of grabbing the title winning 1-0 every week, by now under Jose we were racking the goals up like crazy.
under Jose we got ahead & parked the bus as I recall....how I long for that again
Just had to mention that
Seriously????
You scored 72 in the season. We have already scored 70 with 7 matches left.
1-0 every game????
Earlier in the season fans were having a go at our team for the amount we were conceding and coming back to win. Now they are having a go for winning 1-0. Just can't win
<Citeh> have been the big disappointment this season.
Letting that gap get so large means no pressure can be applied to Man Utd at the crucial fixture periods.
But yes, a very workmanlike performance this season by Man Utd.

Now thats what I call putting someone in his place, who clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
As for the Chelsea record I dont care, its the Title what we want and it doesn't matter about the points tally
City's title defence has been frankly a joke, I know it's hard to defend a title but to be 15 points behind in March is just bemusing.
