Tell u what gents, im looking at a swagger win, ziggler cash in!
Swagger has the in ring ability to hold his own at the top level, which is just as well because the lispy get is awful on the mic. Ziggler is just as weird on the mic, but his in ring skills are decent and his selling ability is brilliant.
In terms of storylines this would be the best this era imho! The very thing that seperated them brings them full circle in a twist of fate.
From a creative standpoint this is an absolute masterpiece in the making. HOWEVER...how would it play out?
When they split as a duo, it was as a tool to push Dolph, leaving Swagger as the unwanted anchor to his success. Swagger faded whilst Ziggler ascended. Now however, purposefully or by accident, Swagger has been given a route to the top.
So these 2 meeting again at the top, would be so well received. They have history, believable reasons to dislike each other and the in ring factor. But most importantly they both sit on the same side of the character architype..heels! As viewers (and humans) we tend not to do well with ambivalence, we need to identify one way or the other. Although the said journey to ascertain that judgement is a fun one.
Imagine a lengthy feud between 2 heels! A sustained character loyalty that throws the audience into a moral, and subjective stuper! I mean thats what we want right? Full subjective experiences?
Im tired of storylines revolving around popularity , I want a storyline which questions moral fibres, twists conventions and makes me want to press the R button on my sky remote and more importantly them BOOK NOW instruction on the box office menu.
What do u think kind gentlemen...and Digby
possible?

Hasn't been interesting since the Legend Killer times for me.

He should be allowed to use the punt kick again, have him use it on Sheamus or something if he is turning heel

I was always conflicted about the legend killer. I liked his association with HHH, Flair & Batista in Evolution, but the character was i dunno...... something about it always left me wanting more. Same with the generic cookie cutter smart ass of 05-07 - it always worked for Edge but for some reason felt slightly flat on Orton.
The psychologically disturbed, intensely focussed monster was the closet thing i experienced to wrestling true love

Would rather see Heath Slater get a world title run than see yet another boring Orton push. Don't think for a minute that his second run at a certain type of heel would be any good, he's dried up, he should be looking to wind up his career and move on to something else.

I'd rather have pine cones shoved up my backside than have that image of Heath Slater dragging the WHC along the ground (i assume it's too heavy for him to carry )
One day i'll understand the appeal of this guy.

He's funny and he's not bad in the ring. Sometimes, it's good to have comedy characters.

He's another pointless bore, comparing him to Orton is an insult to wrestling

I'm always wary of comedy characters who have nothing else to full back on, they're always the most disposable. Occasionally he does make me laugh but it's very much a me laughing at him deal. Just my preference i suppose.
