It's possible he will cash in at mania (though not certain by any means) but they won't feud heel v heel that's for sure.
They could turn Ziggler face I suppose especially given the rumoured Orton heel turn
they could let ziggler cash in win the title, then have a 3 way feud style which could let this work
then release orton to make it even better
Digby hahahaha unhate orton lol why?
he's boring and rubbish, even as a heel he would be stale now, he doesn't have the ability to do anything else
My gripe with him is he gives off that backstage a hole aura.
What do u think kind gentlemen...and Digby

HHHBF, TP and Just all like this
I really don't see all the hype around Jack Swagger, he is shocking on the mic and he bores me in the ring aswell.
Love the idea Mike, would be a great use of Smackdown till the summer if anything to tease the notion of two heels tearing each other up - how the crowd respond to it and see if as a concept it could be brought to raw at some stage. One would naturally turn face along the way, the crowds will do it for the writers, that alone would be interesting too.
The WWE needs to have alot more feuds where the seed was planted from within their own universe, far too many popularity and culturally based rivalrys these days. The HHH/Orton dynamic may have been overplayed, but at least the feud was founded on each wrestlers fictional character having a strong resentment towards the other based on psychological scarring from past events....... that dynamic made Randy Orton (the fictional character) who he is, no doubt about it.
Technically, Jack Swagger's new ruthless streak without all that sickly smiling he used to do makes sense from the prospective of previously being burnt - also explains Ziggler's continued psychology of thinking he's untouchable. The fanbase will buy into it from a continuity standpoint. Both seem very compatable in the ring, Ziggler will make Swagger look every abit of that 6'7 frame (something he needs to start making work for him to provide credibility). The promo interface will be harder to lean on, may have to cover it up with intruging build (yep, creative will have to get their thumbs out). The overall the positives outweigh the negatives for me, if i was Vince i'd give you the green light to pitch this sucker to me properly
Like u said smackdown needs a gamechanger! How would u counter the anti Orton sentiment in terms of correct use for him?
bring back the swagger soaring eagle and dress him up as it
Make him a heel, plain and simple.
His situation can be compared to Cena's in alot of ways, the face turn was effective at the time because it's raw freshness got the crowd exciting for it (i hated it, caused me to stop watching infact, but i was a blind mark lol), and the turning point as i understand was winning the WWE Title, like another certain someone
Both are classic cases of the novelty getting the stars actions over instead of the star himself. Without that sense of unfurfilled vaildation you lose from gaining the championship the crowd rightly begin to disconnect themselves from the wrestler when all he has going for him as a face is the crowds support. It's pop-psychology.
Again, like Cena, WWE have dodged this curve for so long with Orton they you need a compelling cataylst to instigate the change - the characters natural impulses won't do it anymore because they've changed. However, the distinctive advantage you have with Orton as opposed to Cena is the heel within, 1) is fully established, 2) still influences his actions, and 3) has proven to work.
How i'd instigate that change personally? I'd have him and HHH form a power alliance at some point this year. The cataylst bringing them together could easily be Sheamus - another hard hitting macho character who has the former in his good graces right now, and to my knowledge a well regarded "Triple H guy" backstage. The ultimate reveal would work best as one of those shocking TV moments that catches us off guard - HHH & Orton pound seven shades out of Sheamus after all three appeared to form a relationship of convienence perhaps?

Seconded.

evolution v2
orton is different to the cena situation, cena becoming a heel now will be something completly new
orton as a heel is the same old rubbish as he cant change his charachter at all same old, walk to the ring, stare, pose, stare, dull, crap, take drugs, avoid getting fired, bully backtage and repeat
Not evolution v2 at all, would be more like The Power Trip v2 if anything. Both are guys who the crowd want to boo, both have an established connection in the ring and backstage, it's the natural course of events at this point particuplarly if HHH loses to Brock and in the story can't officially compete in a match.
They're not as dissimilar as you think. You can't argue that both have struggled to be top babyfaces in the true sense of the word (i.e. cheered by everyone) since winning the WWE Title within the face turn timeframe. Sometimes it's just the case that a wrestlers novelty value is worth more than the wrestler himself (something WWE must consider about any Cena-heel run incidentally). Orton has always been more comfortable as a bad guy, evident by the fact his two face turns had recognised shelf lives.
Cena heel turn would be something completely fresh, hence i fear WWE will bomb with it. They don't do 'fresh' terribly well
Fans basing their views on a wrestlers backstage antics i find even stranger than football fans who base their opinions off their clubs financial commitments. Your priority as a fan should be to expect entertainment, short of someone being a convicted killer why should i care if a wrestler is a pr!ck backstage? I'm not there
if he was entertaining it would be different, he hasnt been entertaining in over 2 years
Hasn't been interesting since the Legend Killer times for me.
He should be allowed to use the punt kick again, have him use it on Sheamus or something if he is turning heel
I was always conflicted about the legend killer. I liked his association with HHH, Flair & Batista in Evolution, but the character was i dunno...... something about it always left me wanting more. Same with the generic cookie cutter smart ass of 05-07 - it always worked for Edge but for some reason felt slightly flat on Orton.
The psychologically disturbed, intensely focussed monster was the closet thing i experienced to wrestling true love
Would rather see Heath Slater get a world title run than see yet another boring Orton push. Don't think for a minute that his second run at a certain type of heel would be any good, he's dried up, he should be looking to wind up his career and move on to something else.
I'd rather have pine cones shoved up my backside than have that image of Heath Slater dragging the WHC along the ground (i assume it's too heavy for him to carry )
One day i'll understand the appeal of this guy.
He's funny and he's not bad in the ring. Sometimes, it's good to have comedy characters.
He's another pointless bore, comparing him to Orton is an insult to wrestling
I'm always wary of comedy characters who have nothing else to full back on, they're always the most disposable. Occasionally he does make me laugh but it's very much a me laughing at him deal. Just my preference i suppose.
