I'll stick with the Rovers thanks star. It creates good conversation down the pub, banter and all. i would not like to be a self centered pr*** like most united, chelsea, city fans etc.
Its not easy following t'Rovers at the moment, but I wouldn't change it. Shame I have had to boycott the club, but this is only a temporary measure.

Same here!I see Mr Mullen is busy again for a take-over,well i wish him well but I think its just wishfull thinking on his part.I think its near burial time again at Bamber bridge if its allowed to go on.I will have to ask Wilbo as he lives in or around Bamber bridge.I often wonder if Vinjay is happy now with Man City, well who knows?

Not sure if you see the bigger picture Uncle Mort. Jack Walker was a local lad, he made his money and did what he wished with it. He invested it into his favorite football team, his local football team. He pretty much invested his money wisely and built the club on financially stable foundations. Yes maybe he bought the title but he did it fairly well. When he died he left a pot of cash so the club could carry on (sustainably pretty much) he left a good bunch on the board who knew football. His family did not have the love for the club as he did, they sold it (the club, its proud history and the fans) to a bunch of chicken farmers who know nowt. I dont think Jack Walker would be happy now if he were still around. But he isn't so it does not matter.

Man Utd have bought every title they've won. The season they won it they spent almost as much on Andy Cole as Shearer and Sutton cost us combined.
The instance Sky TV came into football, transfer fees were always gonna shoot up. If Jack hadn't been there to challenge Man U in the early days, then it simply would have been United buying up all the good players and spending just as much money as Jack did.
